Ummmm, this show is pretty much guaranteed to go in a shocking direction - that's why we keep watching. I'm not sure how what MB said is a spoiler as opposed to a statement of fact.

You guys seriously need to lay of the "boy that cried wolf" routine.

Fair. I guess I was just fired up from reading the whole thread at once and seeing spoiler after spoiler. Overreaction for sure. Either way, I still don't like knowing anything at all that is about to happen. My bad MB.

I assume he must die a horrible death at some point. Even RR cannot be so callous as to not serve up the occasional dish of karmic justice?

But this is why I asked who was next in line. If Joffrey didn't have a brother, then killing him would mean the Lannisters lose their claim to the throne (and I think the point of King Edward(?) bastard is that Joffrey and his brother are actually the products of incest and not in the line of succession).

Plus, the point made pretty clearly last night was power comes from the money and commanding the army. As long as he can send Joffrey to his room, killing him serves no purpose for Tywin. And if something did happen to Joffrey, the other son is an insurance policy. But remove Joffrey and there's no insurance policy.

I happened to catch the final minutes of an episode not too long ago where the son of a king (or someone important) was being held hostage and got his hand cut off in the final seconds of the show.

Tonight I watched only the last few minutes again and they showed some dude returning home missing his hand.....same guy I assume?

Also- what's up with the hot blonde dragon queen chick?

Something tells me I gotta get this show on dvd (season 1, 2) and catch up.

Yeah they have some elitest notion because they took the time to read the books. It's retarded.

I plan on reading them and actually have the first 2. I just don't give a fuck to do it right now. I'm enjoying the show...I don't get why the book nerds don't just let that be.

The same shit happens on another forum I frequent. The mods actually did something about it and split the threads. One for the show with no spoilers and another for the book nerds to post whatever and wank each other.
