It was interesting that Robb's wife was killed in the show. She never went to the Twins in the book. She stayed in Riverrun. She wasn't even pregnant. I guess it was a way for GRRM to wrap up her storyline. You never really hear about her anymore in the book after the Red Wedding.
Okay so you're just not getting it so I'll just come right out with it...NO ONE on here cares about the books, or how the show is shaped around it or where it will go. We want this thread to be STRICTLY the show, so there is absolutely ZERO spoilers, even if you don't believe they're very revealing.

Please.

" I guess it was a way for GRRM to wrap up her storyline. You never really hear about her anymore in the book after the Red Wedding."

Sort of, one of the problems with the tv show catching up quickly to GRRM's glacially paced writing is that the tv show is actually spoiling the books. GRRM left Jeyne/Talisa's fate open - well, he shut that quickly - so that was a wasted half of a chapter.

At any rate, I'm guessing a lot of the rumors about how this season will end may have some validity, which if true will probably satisfy most and shock some - again a lot has to do with the casting and who may or may not be back for next season.

I didn't post any spoilers in the last post. Robb's wife died on the show. What am I spoiling? As for me speculating what's going to happen on Sunday's episode, I'm speculating. Just like you are. I don't work for HBO. Hey, I'm speculating that they're going to end the season with another wedding. You speculated that it will end with the Lannisters on top. Who is going to be right? I guess we'll just have to find out on Sunday. Kisses!

I'm sure that's not your only example since we aren't talking about the books here or getting into spoilers....but how relevant could her fate have been? She wasn't pregnant in the book. Which is somewhat of an interesting choice (I guess he was tired of the Stark vengeance theme?). Although I'm guessing the book never explicitly said she was without child.

Maybe Jon Snow gets back and goes all Van Damme on the Lannisters.

And what ever happened to that shadow/demon child of Stannis? That dude seemed pretty useful!

They are kind of a one shot deal. The shadow baby was used to kill Renly and Stannis wants to make another one, but he's too weak to do so. That's why she went to get Gendry to use the kings blood in him. He didn't get her pregnant, but she took his blood with the leeches.

Your last sentence is correct...it was never determined, she was sent away with her mother and it was an open issue if she was even who she was thought to be (Jaime's description of her is completely different from Catelyn's, but that could be another one of GRRM's many editing errors in books 4 and 5).

But any rate her fate is now known, and all the speculation about her is gone making what little discussion about her in the book irrelevant, even though GRRM made it seem open-ended. Another red herring from the fat man.

One that Mace Tyrell won't attend? The Lord of Highgarden isn't going to his daughter's (and future Queen) wedding to the King?

Except you know there is a wedding in the future, while we did not until you just posted it.

S&L is speculating without ANY knowledge of the future. You are not.

Joffrey's upcoming wedding is fairly certain. Yes, technically it hasn't happened yet and theoretically might not, but I don't remotely consider that to be a spoiler. Actually, if the wedding didn't happen and he posted that, THEN that would be a spoiler.

Forgot about Cersei...but Sansa already got married to Tyrion on the show.

He specifically mentioned the Joffrey marriage.

And while we all know it is coming, it IS a small spoiler. Those are the little ones you dont realize you are giving, but you are. It doesnt ruin anything major, but it does ruin any type of small suspense there might be that someone dies or the wedding doesnt go through.

Its annoying as fuck.

It really doesn't, though. For all RR's penchant for killing popular and noteable characters, he doesn't do it without reason and setting it up (i.e. we knew Robb Stark took a huge risk when he broke his agreement to arranged marriage).

Joffrey's wedding is on the very near horizon, and there's been nothing to suggest it won't happen. From an analytical standpoint, there is no suspense there.

There is suspense there. I don't fucking sit there and think about logical scenarios in game of thrones. I just watch and see what happens. When you tell me there's going to be a wedding in the future, that is assuring that nothing happens to the bride and groom.

It's not a big deal, but all were asking is book readers to start their own thread to talk about the show. That way nothing is spoiled for non-book readers. I actually think it'd be great to have a book readers thread as I would want to talk about the show relative to the book if I had actually read the book.

As long as spoilers aren't posted, everyone should be happy. GRRM has talked publicly about Joffrey/Margaery's wedding in the show. It isn't a spoiler.

Oh I'm sorry I don't fucking listen to his interviews and comments on the show. It's definitely not a spoiler anymore!!

There isn't anything spoiled....you'll be ok. Like Gut said above, GRRM doesn't create something without a plan (at least in the first 3 books). No one has spoiled anything to you. No more than looking at IMDB.com and seeing who is being cast (or not cast).

OK, I don't think this is a spoiler to answer...

But if and when Joffrey is killed, who takes control? Would it be Cersei as the reigning queen, or assuming Joffrey marries would it become his new queen?

I know technically the bastard blacksmith is the rightful heir to the crown...

How about until something happens on the screen, on Sundays, at 9pm it is a spoiler???

Just stop posting stuff you know as fact, no matter how insignificant.

Also, just cause the information is out there and readily available doesnt mean you should just post it. We dont all read up on that stuff, etc. I love the show, but I have no clue what is going to happen, who is cast for next year etc. I dont want to know either. Just cause its out there doesnt mean it isnt a spoiler to a lot of us.

So please, just stop. Or, as SAL has said, start your own thread for that type of talk and just stick to the show as it happens in this thread. I dont really think it is all that much to ask.

Also, that is fine and not a spoiler at all. Its a legit question. I will be a spoiler depending on some answers though. So please be careful lol

Yeah, I meant who is in line for succession, not who actually gains control

The younger brother would be next in succession, but he wouldn't "rule" until of age. The hand of the king would rule, which would be Tywin.
