Any word (real or not) that is a verb form of what has traditionally been used exclusively as a noun. Examples:

trending
efforting
leverage (you have it, you don't do it you pompous windbag).

I don't understand the hatred of the term baby bump. What else would you use to describe the bump that is caused by a baby growing inside it?

Pregnant. It is more about the obsession with celebrities that feel the need to show it off and the people willing to encourage it.

Funny a similar thread was brought up on the other board I chat, the usual suspects were named but far and away the term "baby bump" was the most hated....then again it is a college sports board and probably 98% of the posters are male.

So when I am pregnant and my stomach starts to get larger and larger, I should refer to the bump caused by the growing baby as my pregnant? Hmmm. Okay then.

I also don't really understand what you mean by "show it off"....it's a huge bump with a baby inside it. You can't exactly hide it. I am certainly not one of those "bump watch" people, but I really do fail to understand the hatred toward it by others.

I rarely refer to my stomach. If not to show it off, why would anyone need to refer to their pregnant stomach?

Women in general, when pregnant(especially unwed women) are highly annoying. You got knocked up! Congratulations! Hope the baby doesn't rip your vagina to shreds and the father actually sticks around for more than 5 minutes(I'm looking at you iluvz).

"Length" in the context of describing basketball players. They're tall. Tall people tend to have longer limbs than us average-sized people.

I would presume you would wear clothing over it. I think most of the hatred (probably annoyance is a better word) is the recent phenomenon of celebrities exposing themselves in a manner that wasn't acceptable before - like Sleeper said normally we don't walk around with our midriffs out, heck I don't even walk to the men's room from our pool without putting on a t-shirt. My wife always wears a cover-up top and bottom even at the pool unless she's in it.
