Georgetown cant be in the East. They are the host of that region. Same for Kansas in the South, but Im not sure how that works with the Big 12 hosting and not a specific team.

Well then switch Georgetown and Duke I guess

If the Big 12 is hosting then any Big 12 team can still be there I believe. It's only if that school is the host or its considered a "home" venue that they can't be there I think, so Kansas should be fine.

KU can play there.

Thats a rough projection through conference tourneys. Though I havent predicted when who beats who. Just kind of the round they lose in or win the whole thing. Its tough to put Arizona in there when they have struggled so much in the Pac-12. I guess whoever wins that tournament between Arizona and Oregon gets the 4. If its UCLA or other, I could see the Pac-12 not getting a top 4 seed.

Pretty similar with mine, regarding the who wins out/loses to who etc conditions. Except I dont see NM getting a 1 because the committee wont put them and Gonzaga there. Though as you have said multiple times, and I agree, the resume says yes.

I think you have to have OSU over Wisconsin as a 4 just because Wisconsin has more questionable losses (home vs. Creighton, home v. UVA, and at Iowa). While OSU's only questionable loss is @ Illinois.

Of course if OSU loses early in the B1G tourny and Wisconsin makes it to the finals that could change.

I think Wisconsins wins are more impressive though.

Yeah.....I'm not greatly impressed by any of them.

Typically in the brackets they'll have one or two surprising #3 seeds and some rougher seeming #4 seeds. Seems like the East often gets the softer #3 seed. I know you have to avoid conference matchups and such.

I also don't feel like picking regions. Geography was never a favorite subject of mine.

Ones: Indiana, Duke, Georgetown, Kansas
Twos: Miami (Fl), Gonzaga, Michigan State, Florida
Threes: Louisville, New Mexico, Syracuse, Wisconsin (after they win the Big Ten Tournament)
Fours: Arizona, Syracuse, UNLV, Butler or Saint Louis (whichever wins the A-10 Tourney)

I did not include Michigan as a top four seed because, when it is all said and done, I believe Michigan will have lost at least six out of its last 12 or 13 games, depending on how many games the Wolverines win in the Big Ten tourney. I don't think it will be more than one. They will also lose at home to Indiana or Michigan State.

I see Zona losing at least 2 more times. They are definitely overrated. Not sure what they have done to deserve a top 4 seed.

I added Zona more or less because I think they will end up winning the Pac-12 Tournament and I really don't think the other teams in that range -- K-State, Oklahoma State, Oregon -- are better teams. Arizona has a ton of talent and could be very dangerous in the tournament. I love the leadership they have on the perimeter with Mark Lyons and Solomon Hill, and Sean Miller has proven to be a good coach in the postseason. We'll see, but I think the Wildcats will surprise people compared to their relatively low profile.

Arizona has an RPI of #14 and Florida, Miami, San Diego State and Colorado are all good wins. I'd say if the Wildcats win at Pauley and then win the Pac-12 Tournament they might even get a top 3 seed.

If Duke beats Miami at home -- and with Ryan Kelly most definitely playing in that game, the Blue Devils will likely win -- and then goes on to win the ACC Tournament, they are almost assured a No. 1 seed. No matter what anyone else does. Even with a loss at North Carolina. At 31-5, the Blue Devils would also have the No. 1 RPI and No. 2 SOS with at least eight victories against the RPI top 40, and possibly nine or 10 depending on who Duke faces in the ACC Tournament.

That's a No. 1 seed all day long.

Haha what sort of formula is going on here? If you beat a couple good teams, you're a top 3 seed?

KSU 9? OSU 9? Colorado 6? Akron 13? Minnesota a 2?!?!

I'll bet $700,000,000 that Minnesota isn't seeded 7 spots higher than OSU.

I can see some of it but some of it is just ridiculous.

Minnesota has 4 top 25 RPI wins, the same as Ohio State. Minnesota has 12 top 100 RPI wins, twice as many as Ohio State, and more than all but a handful of teams. They have one questionable loss, on the road outside the top 100, which gave them a little hit in the formula. When I saw where they were ranked I double and triple checked it, but they do have a much better resume than Ohio State.
