I am looking for a 9mm or .40 cal in the $300 range (im poor). Any suggestions on what to get or where to look? Going to a gun show in Akron this weekend.

I'll be sure not to use your accounting firm's services.

I know what I said. If I were really broke, would I be looking for a gun? Use a little common sense.

So where is my post about engagement rings?

Common sense would be reading what you wrote. You explicitly said "I'm poor". Not sure where common sense says I should think otherwise. Esp considering you're a student. Nice save face logic fail.

Must have been mistaken about the engagement ring.

+1. I wouldn't want financial consultation from somebody who thinks buying a gun when poor is a good idea.

Also, back to Auto's point. Pick was using that post mainly to pat himself in the back. If you have a job with one of the big 4, then you most likely had an internship with them. That does not help dlazz.

Nor does accounting have anything to do with IT. Big 4 accounting firms so many undergrads bc a large portion of them quit within the first year. Congrats on the job dude, but nothing to be smug about.

Speaking of job searching, I recently had my resume personally handed to the hiring manager manager of a major CPG organization. It's probably the most solid "in" I've had since my search started. I at least expect to get an interview, but I'm not banking on it. I've made that mistake several times. :(

Still searching daily.

Anyway Dlazz, not sure if I mentioned this already, or somebody else has, but I highly recommend linked in. During my time searching for a job to move to DC, i posted on numerous groups related to DC (college alumni group, young professional groups, fraternity alumni, etc). I would pretty much just tell them I was trying to get a job in DC, what i was looking for, and what my background/education was like. I had quite a few people actually try to help me. I even got 3 interviews out of it.

Clearly, I would have stole the gun instead of buying it. Duh!

So you went out of your way to brag about working for a "big" firm, when it isn't even part of the big 4? LOL.

Huge turnover in accounting. My brother in law is a partner at a top 10 firm and he was saying 1 in 4 accountants quit each year, usually after they get their tax season bonus.

You are in for a rude awakening. I have seen undergrads like you all excited to work for an accounting firm, thinking the stress won't affect them. 6-8 months in they are QQing and ready to find a new job. Well, you aren't working for a big 4 though, so maybe it won't be as bad.

LOL. Get off my dick already. If you really must know, I chose my company over E&Y (only big 4 offer, yeah I suck:cry:) because they are consistently ranked as a better workplace than most Big 4 firms and provide just as many career opportunities. Also have first hand knowledge that the E&Y locations in Akron and Cleveland are a terrible place to work. I have plenty of experience working long and stressful hours.

I have finally had enough of my boss, so I plan to re-do my resume this week and start really searching. I am not looking forward to the process, but it is definitely time.

lol how cute. The undergrad went with crynasty's "quit following me" fail response. Myself, and I assume nobody else gives a fuck where you will work and who you interviewed with. Keep trying to justify your self worth on an internet forum though!

Make sure you have someone look over your resume when you're done editing.
