How many times must we state that faith or belief is the desired basis chosen by God?

I hope you do "got it". Yes, it's based on faith and faith alone. That has been presented numerous times.

Oh I misread that. My apologies.

If I had to guess, I'd probably say Canada, but I have no idea why. Canucks just always bugged me.

Was I correct on the first question?

I suppose I should have qualified that by saying that the distinction lies between that and a being with a soul (or "consciousness," if you prefer) that continues on. Apologies for not being thorough.
At what point in the chain of evolution does one earn a soul; or in another way, which level of 'human' does one finally achieve worthiness of heaven by god. Given the differences in genomes from chimpanzees and humans being only slightly greater than the differences between individual humans, do chimps go to heaven too?

You are incorrect. The first answer is Vietnam.

80% of Vietnamese don't believe in God? Interesting, to be sure.

There are many PhD biologists who do not believe this. Notice I did NOT say most or a majority, I said many.
I applaud the biologists who don't believe it. I'd love to see their competing research that directly conflicts with the status quo.

So your living your life based on an unsubstantiated guess rooted in no fact and no reason? Like I said, there is no truth only belief. What's true for one is not true for another; that applies to many facets of life.

I have seen no evidence either way. I find it sad that god does not wish to allow access to all forms of life and only focus on one branch of the evolutionary tree.

Maybe you haven't.

Why do you think it's sad a God you don't believe does or does not do any particular thing?

I am living my life exactly the same I lived before I accepted and communed with God.

There's reason behind such a decision. It's just not reason that's appealing nor motivating to you.

You know that those two aren't mutually exclusive, right?

And there IS belief.

Captain Con_Alma's argument is that because I don't believe in god then I don't follow the same fate as those who do. This is a binary scenario where there either is a god and that is the truth or there isn't. If god doesn't accept bacteria into his kingdom, then why does he allow humans? Bacteria aren't much different than a handicapped religious human being so why are the treated differently and denied heaven? If god exists, he's an asshole.

Do believers in say, Catholicism, believe that all other religions are wrong? If so, what causes you to reject the other religious beliefs and accept your current belief as truth?

No one ha said anything about your fate.

There is a God.

Who said God didn't accept bacteria? Who said God "allowed humans"? You are making a lot of assumptions

Are you sure bacteria is treated differently than humans? It's my understanding they both return to dust.

If you think God's an **** there's no reason for you to seek him out.

Yes.

I'm not Catholic but at the risk of answering for them ...your second question would insirre the following answer.....the same thing that causes a Catholic to accept their belief as truth would apply here. It has been outlined numerous times in this thread and others. If your own beliefs are contradictory to others, the others must be rejected if one has accepted their own as truth. They both are not correct.

Well when it's all made up anyway, my assumptions are just as valid as yours. It's EZ.

So what caused you to validate one religion over another? Why is your faith right and the others wrong?
