but what OSU has is something alot of big name colleges have.
Stack their NC schedule with mostly home games. Schedule 3 games against teams whom you dont have to have a return visit, and one "good" NC game that you have to complete a home-and-home. Then you have your built in home games in the conference and next thing you know you are playing 70-75% of your games at home.
OSU didnt create the model, but they use it.
That is one reason why I think ND should get into a conference. They then could follow the same sort of format that would guarentee them more home games.
I'm sure glad LSU doesn't have such a different playing field. For example, las year LSU only played 8 home games. Compared to 4 on the road. Also happy to know that LSU played zero cupcakes. I mean SEC teams never play cupcakes.
Just look at these powerhouses LSU dealt with last year....
Sept. 1 North Texas
Sept. 8 Washington
Sept. 15 Idaho
Sept. 22 at Auburn
Sept. 29 Towson University
Nov. 10 Mississippi State
Nov. 17 Ole Miss
Nov. 23 or 24 at Arkansas
I'm surprised they were even able to field a team....in their bowl game.
