Im not a Michigan fan by no means but this is getting depressing. Being a buckeye fan means I need to also root for the big ten to be good. So I really want michigan to be good again. Not sure what the answer is at this point. I hope they turn it around in the next few years, maybe with a new AD and coach.

Yea ^ pretty much this. Michigan's downward spiral since 2006 has hurt the B10 as a whole.

I expect the list of commitments to shrink substantially honestly

Just as a general rule, when there is a coaching change, you can expect 1/3 to bail, 1/3 to stay, and 1/3 that you need to re-recruit. And that's not taking into consideration any other factors, like how shitty your football team is. If/when Hoke is fired, the class will likely be shot unless a big name is hired. Luckily, this is a small class this year, so won't hurt as much as it could. But hurt nonetheless.

What a mess.

I'm a huge 49ers fan the rest of the season. If they go deep in the POs the better chance Harbaugh tells scUM to fuck off.

This. But the joke of the whole thing is... you ask just about any Michigan "fan" and they'll tell you they don't give a damn about the rest of the Big Ten. They always talk about, "Why should I care if the Big Ten is good or not? If Michigan does it's job and goes undefeated, are you telling me they won't play for the National Championship? So why do I need to care about what the rest of the Big Ten does?"

Friggin morons.

I don't know why people link John Harbaugh to Michigan. To my knowledge, he has no ties (other than it's his brother's school). John was born in Toledo. John went to Miami (OH). John coached at Western Michigan, Pitt, Morehead State, Cincinnati, and Indiana. His father was an assistant under Bo Schembechler, but whoopdy-fricken-doo.

He grew up there and went to Pioneer HS while his dad coached at Michigan.

So because he went to Pioneer HS and his dad was an ASSISTANT coach at Michigan, John Harbaugh is a "Michigan Man" / has ties to Michigan?
