He was borderline retarded when I covered him at Springfield (Toledo) in High School...literally. So I am not surprised.

Technically, from Springfield. But yeah, the towns are next to each other.

And to go along with my previous post. He went to UT cause he wasnt smart enough to get into OSU. Nothing against OSU, but if you have skill like him as a football player and they cant find a way to get you in...seriously...you are borderline retarded.

Next week could be fun!

Panthers and their defense have won 5 in a row and will face Brady, with Gronk fully back.

I don't understand how football is so popular, 90% of the time the game is boring as hell, slow paced and lacks drama.

Every sport goes much deeper to the fans that love it.....but probably just a macho thing.

I watch my Dolphins and OSU. What I said is true though, the game is largely boring and lacks any drama or pace. It's a great sport though.

Just my opinion. Most games I watch are uneventful and dull, just an observation.

OMG Rob is right. I think I'll stop watching the NFL now, since every game is boring and uneventful. /sarcasm

One of the dumber posts on the OC in while.

That being said, outside of the Browns I rarely watch another NFL game. That was not the case even 2 yrs ago. More due to lack of free time than not wanting to though.

I guess I don't understand what you're using as a comparison. What/which sport(s) provides more drama and excitement?

lol, when it comes to regular season pro sports play, football is the only one you can count on for anything resembling consistent excitement. Only 16 games, so they all count, as opposed to the 82 or so in the NHL/NBA where you know talented teams will coast for some percent of the time.

For me, football is the only one I'm likely to give undivided attention to in the regular season. Baseball's the best for hanging out with friends and the other two are good for putting on mute while exercising, but football's the one that's actually worth watching and paying attention to in the regular season. Some games suck and some match-ups (last night) are dogs, but there's more bang for your buck there.

That has nothing to do with it at all. Dolphins have been losers throughout most of my lifetime. Doesn't change my opinion that it is a largely boring and uneventful sport. Like I said it's a great sport but it lacks drama and pace. Not sure how those things can be argued. Again, just my opinion.
