Crazy to think Johnny Football was the normal one of the three candidates. We had a partier, a kid raised by one of those wifeswap families, and the male version of Jan Brady

Where the money went is a pretty important factor IMO. If Te'o was in on it....fuck him. He should get charged with fraud. If he was just naive and got duped...the people behind the catfish-ing are the ones who robbed hard-working people of their money. They should be the ones prosecuted. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Guessing that matter won't be left alone....nor should it.

I've posted a possible scenario several times throughout this thread. My hope that he's just a chump who was getting shit for having an online girlfriend and lied about meeting her to save face. That's forgivable. It makes him look like a little bitch. But its at least forgivable.
But if it turns out he was in on it the whole time...then fuck him.

I am more after if a gay player would be tolerated in the NFL.

I am not buying any of this story...I think he was in on it

I don't think a lot of people knew about it being fake. Likely just T'eo and his family.

Lets put it this way. If by some amazing miracle it was all a hoax and EVERYONE was fooled. You have tons of media sources, media members and others affiliated with Notre Dame who have no credibility.

How do you explain people discussing first hand knowing Manti met the girl? Talked to her on the phone? Were there when he got the call that she had passed and witnessed him crying? I mean these aren't lame sources either. We're talking about the national media and the most connected media outlets to Notre Dame. Was everyone fooled?

If so, whoever perpetuated the hoax is one of the greatest EVER. The person should be recognized nationally with multiple awards.

It makes you look like a little bitch to hope that is the best possible scenario for Te'o. Regardless, Te'o is a little bitch.

killer_ewok;1367691 wrote:So now it was a hoax that the entire, team, staff, university, family and friends were all in on? And NO ONE spilled the beans for all this time? Talk about unfathomable. I would think there would have been grumblings had that many people been involved. Somebody would have slipped up. I think your "scenario" is pretty outlandish.
killer_ewok;1367697 wrote:So dozens, maybe hundreds of others were aware of it and not bound to keep the secret as opposed to being in on it and sworn to secrecy? This makes your scenario even less likely IMO.
Sorry, but you guys sound so incredibly pathetic. Just to stick up for a school's football team.

Do yourselves a favor and don't post until the answers have been revealed.

You sound like the OSU idiots who were screaming people were retarded for thinking Tressel could do any wrong.

Reagan Mauia, an Arizona Cardinals fullback, said he believes Kekua existed because he met her in person when he and other Polynesian teammates and Pittsburgh Steelers star Troy Polamalu went to do charity work in American Samoa in June 2011.
"This was before her and Manti," Mauia said Wednesday evening. "I don't think Manti was even in the picture, but she and I became good friends. We would talk off and on, just checking up on each other kind of thing. I am close to her family. When she was going through the loss of her father, I was -- I offered a comforting shoulder and just someone to bounce her emotions off. That was just from meeting her in Samoa."
Mauia said Tuiasosopo -- whom Mauia believes is Kekua's cousin -- introduced the two. After the initial meeting, Mauia said he met her at an "after-party" for all of the athletes involved in the camp.
"She was tall," he said. "Volleyball-type of physique. She was athletic, tall, beautiful. Long hair. Polynesian. She looked like a model ... "
He said it is his understanding that Kekua's mother is operating her Twitter account. He said he'd never met her mother. When told by a reporter that she apparently might not have existed, Mauia said "No, she is real."

So we shouldn't post until the answers have been revealed but the wild "the whole university and everybody else that ever met Te'o was in on it" theories are okay to post now? Yeah, that makes complete sense. And perhaps you missed the parts where I said "fuck him" if he was in on it. Blindly defending him, or the team....which frankly doesn't need to be defended in this case, isn't what I'm doing here.
