Maybe but then again much more pressure on a young Columbus team. And we can lose, just not in regulation. Also Bertuzzi is coming back so that helpsBig_Mirg_ZHS;1433916 wrote:Due to this comment y'all are gonna lose to dallas on sat and we will win both games and then they will be dead.

More pressure? The jackets are playing with house money. The red wings are the ones with the pressure to make the 22nd straight playoffs...

says the guy who "technically" is in 7th place but knows better not to say that just to say that when the Wild has a game in hand and you're saying that like you should be in 7th but won't be and will be blanked in the 1st round by the Blackhawks and you suck and so does DETROIT.Classyposter58;1433963 wrote:They're also the ones in 7th place

Jackets win!
Comes down to Saturday. CBJ must win against Nashville. If Detroit loses in regulation against Dallas or Wild lose in regulation or OT against Oilers or Avs, Jackets are in.
Eh oh! Oilers go!
Edit: Wild has to go 0-2-0 or 0-1-1. Forgot they have a game in hand.

I will lol if Minnesota misses. Wouldn't that be something if the Central division nets 4 teams once again, would like both Detroit and Columbus to make it

I was so pissed after the lock out that I said to my buddy, who is a huge hockey fan, the only way I'll watch this season is if the Jackets are in the playoff hunt.
Well, the run since Feb has made me watch the NHL network pretty much every night.
It is an amazing run by the Jackets, and even if they fall short, still one hell of a year.
The Wings are playing well lately, so the odds aren't fantastic, but who knows, crazy things do happen.

I'm a half-full kind of guy, so I think even if we don't get in it's not a terrible thing. We have 3 1st rd picks next draft (IIRC), and not making the playoffs means potentially a higher 1st pick...
Also, the CBJ needed this run to keep the fan-base engaged. I hope they make it, but won't be too upset if they don't. I think good things are coming for this team now that they finally have a steady goalie and f/o mgmt.

Even if they do make it - they're lambs to the slaughter against Chicago.

eh. Hot goalie can change a lot of things. I don't think they'd win the series but i bet they could steal one or two games.Raw Dawgin' it;1434240 wrote:Even if they do make it - they're lambs to the slaughter against Chicago.

I think if they won a game, it'd be game 4 after being down 3-0 and then lose game 5. Didn't they get swept last time they made the playoffs? I don't see this team winning against Chicago. Hell, Boston will get the 2 seed and probably play NYR. I bet NYR beats Boston in 6 because we don't play them well at all.derek bomar;1434241 wrote:eh. Hot goalie can change a lot of things. You never know, a hot goalie does change things.

They were, although the Jackets lost all four:Big_Mirg_ZHS;1434259 wrote:i believe all our games this year against the blackhawks where one goal games.
3-2
1-0
4-3 (OT)
2-1 (SO)
I think they could steal a game but I would have no dreams of them taking the series. But since the start of March Columbus is almost the hottest team in the league (I think only Pittsburgh has more points since March 1).

Regardless of whether they can win the cup or not, I don't think I can say enough about how much having high stakes NHL games in Nationwide Arena means to the city and the team.
I know it sounds cheesy, and that our standards should be higher, but this is a team that was in financial trouble and was being talked about as a possible relocation team.

So were the penguins - then they got good and acquired 98% of their current fan base.chicago510;1434302 wrote:Regardless of whether they can win the cup or not, I don't think I can say enough about how much having high stakes NHL games in Nationwide Arena means to the city and the team.
