With the caps shoot out win over the islanders last night they moved into first in the division. Crazy there in this position after that terrible start to the season

Not saying much - every team in that division sucks.

going to see the Bruins play the Caps on the last game of the season. Ridiculous they're 14 points behind boston but ahead in the standings. I think Boston will eventually overtake Montreal, but if we play Ottawa in the first round I'd be cool with that, we own them.

I've always hated the seeding. It makes no sense to reward a team barely above .500 the 3 seed. I really want to play the pens though bc well fuck the pens lol .

no you don't lol.

I mean it makes sense how they seed, it'll be different next year though. No way they make the playoffs IMO with realignment.

Central Division is crazy right now.

Detroit 41 pts, 11 games remaining
St. Louis 40 pts, 13 games remaining
Columbus 39 pts, 11 games remaining
Nashville 38 pts, 10 games remaining

Games remaining between the teams:
4/5: Columbus @ St. Louis
4/7: St. Louis @ Detroit
4/9: Nashville @ St. Louis
4/12: St. Louis @ Columbus
4/14: Detroit @ Nashville
4/25: Nashville @ Detroit
4/27: Nashville @ Columbus

HUGE game tonight in St. Louis for the Jackets, a regulation W would put them in good position. Still, tough schedule left with a west coast 6-game road trip looming, and 8 of their last 11 against teams currently in the playoffs (St. Louis, Minnesota, San Jose, Anaheim, LA). They will have to keep playing great hockey to make the top 8.

Don't worry. It all goes away next year.

Yeah i'm excited to see how the new playoff system works out. I don't see the Caps making it consistently in their new division. I also can't wait for the Bruins to build a rivalry with the Red Wings.

Nice W last night. Doesn't make up for dropping two in a row against St. Louis and Minny but it needed to happen for the Jackets to stay in striking distance. Still need lots of help given all the teams within 2 points of the Jackets in the standings have played fewer games.

Another Bruins head injury - they need to suspend these assholes.

Unfortunately the Wings and Coyotes each got a loser point and the Stars won.

Big 2 points last night as Jackets win in a shootout in Minny 3-2. Bob should be in the running for the Vezina he was a monster last night.
45 points gives the Jackets a tie for 8th with Dallas and Detroit. Next game Monday vs Colorado.

Penguins getting closer to wrapping up the 1st seed with two more points last night. W/o Crosby, Malkin, Neal, and Martin.

Tonight, gotta have the Jackets win (obviously) and have Dallas lose in regulation. Jackets aren't going to win any tiebreakers with so many shootout wins, so they need to get the 8th spot on points alone.

Well this season won me over, as I just purchased "half season" tix for myself, wife and son for next season, went to 12 games this year. So there is a lot of money on this team for next year - hoping they don't trick me once I've become a fan.

I became a fan this year, as well. Not just of the Jackets, but of pro hockey in general. I'll definitely be going to a playoff game this season if they can finish strong enough.

Odd. I have never cared before. ESPN pretends like it doesn't exist even though more hockey fans show up at games than NBA fans do.

Chicago helping out up 2-0 vs Dallas. CBJ must win tonight.
