The caps are surprisingly only 4 pts behind for the 8th spot after that terrible start. Ovie has been playing pretty damn good lately and Holtby finally settled in. Hopefully they can make a run to get in the playoffs

Sid actually got his jaw broke on that deflection. Out indefinitely and is expected to be ready for playoffs.

Love the optimism. They're in if the season ended today but unfortunately for them they've also played more games than anyone else in the Western Conference, and 8 of their last 12 are on the road. Gonna need to keep getting points - particularly in the two games against Nashville and the two games against St. Louis - down the stretch.

It will be interesting to see if the Jackets are willing to be buyers at the deadline or stand pat. I, for one, don't want them mortgaging any future (that is, trading one of their first rounders) unless it's a very good deal.
