Then assuming Sheard can make the transition, we can focus the draft on the secondary.. if Milliner is gone at six you trade down and take Rhodes or Banks. This might even be better than getting Milliner beacuse then you can take a FS with your newly acquired second round pick.
No on corner at 6. NO.

Are you opposed to trading down for a corner and a FS?

No, but I'm opposed to reaching for a corner at #6. None of these guys are a value pick there. Rather get a decent corner in the 2nd and not fuck our salary cap down the road. Plus Eagles proved 2 stud corners doesn't equal good defense. Rather get a stud DE/pass rush at 6 and not trade down. Or trade back and get a stud OG and FS.

Haden was considered a reach when the Browns took him. Mocks right before that draft had him falling to the Steelers who took, I believe, Pouncey in that draft. But I do agree with you that there's no corner at #6 worth taking.

Trading down is the only way I'd be ok with taking a defensive back in the first round.

Prior to the draft: 1. Sign Kruger or Spencer 2. Trade Sheard for a 2nd round pick
Then trade down from 6 overall and pick up an additional 2nd

round 1: Xavier Rhodes, CB, FSU
round 2: Margus Hunt, DE, SMU
round 2: Jelani Jenkins, OLB, Florida
round 3: Baccarri Rambo, FS, Georgia
round 4: Lonnie Pryor, FB, FSU
round 5: Kiko Alonso, ILB, Oregon
round 6: Quinn Sharp, P, Oregon State
round 6: Jake Stoneburner, TE, Ohio State

lol those moves are ridiculous. You're living in a pipe dream that it's "easy" to just sign Kruger/Spencer (If Balt lets him walk, and then it comes down to him wanting to come here. Also FAs are fools gold.) and trading Sheard for a second is "easy". Doubt that is the case honestly. Also HIGHLY doubt they trade him this early. Just don't see it. Also hate that draft you presented. Mangus Hunt proved at the senior bowl that he's a major project, his stock dropped IMO. Fuck a FB.

You're not living in the real world.

Agreed, its not "easy" nor is it realistic.

But FB is a HUGE need. Sheard doesnt fit. And 48 million dollars says we can sign a LB

We have a lot of our own FA we need to take care of. Don't give a shit about FA either, they rarely work out. Fools Gold, how's Mario Williams working for for the Bills? LCB for us? Albert Haynesworth for the Redskins/Patriots?

Sorry, I got sick of the same old Jarvis Jones, Barkevius Mingo, Damontre Moore talk.

None of us are on the staff, so none of this matters anyway. At least be interesting.

I'd love to get Dion Jordan, followed by Werner and then Moore. That's my wish list for us at #6. If they're gone, I want Warmack. If all 4 are gone I want to trade back and pick a FS or Cooper (OG) from UNC.

COA, please reconsider this weeks winner of ipotw.

We aren't part of the staff so instead of talking about realistic picks, lets just come up with fantasy scenarios!!!

That's true, def IPOTW candidate outside of a SoS post this week. Hell you can't even make these picks in fantasy football.

Reps.

Rambo: he is a pure FS, as he absolutely HATES to make contact. Complete 180 to Elam.

Well I guess its a good thing the Browns are planning on running some sort of a hybrid as well

Stupid is drafting a guy at 6 that has a deteriorating spine. HUGE risk

Exactly a ball hawking safety is what we need. We have our hard hitting safety in ward. They would compliment each other well

Benson led the Packers in YPG and Mannigham was the 3rd leading receiver even though he missed 1/4 of the season.
