Andy Reid is on the verge of agreeing to take over in Arizona ESPN and others are reporting.

Some outlets are reporting that Heckert could be joining him as GM, although others including the PD are denying that half.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms reports that Andy Reid is close to becoming the Cardinals' next coach, with one source putting the odds at "95 percent."
Schefter and CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora both expected the hiring to be announced by the end of the week. In fact, one NFL source tells the Philadelphia Inquirer that it's "already a done deal." Although multiple outlets claim that ex-Browns GM Tom Heckert could reunite with Reid in Arizona, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that move is "very unlikely." There's also been plenty of speculation that Pat Shurmer and Brad Childress, former head coaches who worked under Reid in Philadelphia, could join the offensive staff. Jan 1 - 4:41 PM

Do Browns fans really think anything is going to change?

^^ nope. I was sitting here today thinking, and its just simply amazing how many qbs the Browns have been through and haven't managed to hit on a single one. Just absolutely mind blowing.

Somebody on the OBR is reporting Browns and Chip Kelly have a deal almost in place. 95% done. Take it for what its worth. Incarcerated Bob is reporting this? Never heard of the dude.

I have zero knowledge of Chip's aspirations.....but man he has it good at Oregon, would he wait for a better situation? I know almost every team that has let go of their coach is pretty much a bad situation (even though Browns were competitive in most every game).....just seems odd that he's 95% on the way, unless the money is huge (and he's a touch risky for the OMG deal)

^^ I have never heard of the dude, but I doubt if Kelly is coming to the NFL he would do a deal before his bowl game.

He may eventually be correct....but for now you'd think he'd guess someone else that he could fill in the holes of his story. There are more reasons why Chip wouldn't be automatic now opposed to why he is/would be.

But the amount of times he's been wrong tells you he doesn't know wtf he's talking about..he's just throwing out guesses.

He may be right here, but it's stll just a guess..he doesn't have any "inside" sources

[h=1]I hear from people who'd know that Chip Kelly is on his way to Cleveland. Does that make him a lame Duck?[/h]

I will believe it when I see it. It's only been 2 days since Shumur was fired. I would think Haslam would learn from idiot Lerner and take his time with the hiring process. Kelly just doesn't make sense.

I wouldn't mind giving Kelly the opportunity to see if he can make it in the nfl. He won't be any worse than the previous 900 coaches we had we're.

I would be down with Chip. Big risk, but at least the team would be more fun to watch.

Webfire never posts in Browns threads, but now in 2013 he graces us with these gems .

Belichick had the Browns franchise going, until Art Modell decided to move the team. Nice fail though. You have a lot of work to do if you want to be the top Browns troll on this site.

Haven't heard anything, but then again...he is the one that wasn't expected to be fired
