Wow, a coach that will put his players in a position to succeed. Now there's an idea. Weeden has to be one happy mofo right now. They may actually run an offense that suits him.

Shurmur is a great developmental guy. Just look at Sam Bradford.BR1986FB;1363984 wrote:Posted on the NFL thread that Shurmur is up for the offensive coordinator job (Chud's old job) in Carolina. Cam Newton should be nervous.

It'd allow us to trade colt this year and BW next.. worth looking into, even though he's a bigger P.O.S. than you Shook.shook_17;1364166 wrote:Mike Cairns ‏ @ MikeCairns5hearing a little whisper about DA coming back to the Browns. Watchin the Chud conference. Dude has put on weight since his time in cleveland. Looks tired.
For what its worth, NFL Today podcast LOVED the hire. Both Matt Williamson and Ross Tucker (both with Browns ties) loved the hire.

Also Chud mentioned OC may or may not call plays depending on his comfort level. Let me be the first to say, GTFO with that BS Chud. You hire a fuck head you're not comfortable with to call plays then its a bad hire. First year HC should not call plays. End of fucking story.

This hire may have saved Weeden's career...at least gave him another chance.

What is all this DA talk? How is it not clear that he was a one-year wonder? I honestly didn't know he still played football.

Yeah, no way on D.A.....we have a ginger version of him that is under contract anyhow. I really think that Weeden will get another shot at it, he fits the vertical passing game that they claim they want to have.

Just say no to Derek the pig Anderson. Chud...you are on the clock now bud. DA is....and will always be a POS. Dumber than dumb. You want to test free agency for quarterback competition? Plenty of decent prospects available out there.shook_17;1364166 wrote:Mike Cairns ‏ @ MikeCairns5hearing a little whisper about DA coming back to the Browns. Still owns a house in Westlake. LOL at Chud saying he will use an "attacking" defense. As to what? A defense that doesn't attack? I'm good with euphanisms most of the time. But to this? Come on man.BR1986FB;1363810 wrote:Attacking, imo, means a 3-4 where you send the LB's. You can run an attacking 4-3 (ala the NYG's) but you're typically going to need an exception front four for that.

Word is John Pagano as DC (from SD). Led the 9th best defense this past season. If we switch to a 3-4 I wont be happy.

Switch to a 3-4 is looking like a sure thing if Pagano gets hired, which is also looking likely.

Chudzinski has said many times he isn't ready to commit one way or another.

Is John Pagano ....Chuck's brother?
COA....why don't you think a first year HC should call the offensive plays?
