@MaryKayCabot: #Browns interviewing at least one more unidentified head coach candidate today. It's not Bruce Arians.

They claim vertigo and high blood pressure. Does HIPPA not apply to NFL coaches?

They are kicking the tires on all of these guys they've interviewed. Haven't pulled the trigger (likely) due to the fact that they covet an assistant that is currently in the playoffs and can't be interviewed. Tom Gamble (49ers) hasn't been hired. I could see them bringing him in as a GM along with Greg Roman as the HC. Like I said "likely." Now watch them hire someone in an hour.

When asked his opinion on who the Browns should hire, Bernie Kosar replied, "Got a bottle opener on ya?"

Weak. I suspect his speech has more to do with head hits.

I pray the Browns don't take Zimmer or Hue Jackson. Both are great coaches.

I liked Whiz in pittsburgh as the OC. When they chose Tomilin over Grimm. Dont think Whiz was a candidate really. Grimm and Whiz went to Arizona where he led them to the SB.

Or was he just lucky he had Kurt Warner? By the looks of it since then, I think Whiz road the coattails of Warner to the SB.

Dont think it would be a good hire for the browns.

Apparently I'm in the minority, but I'm for Whisenhunt.

What coach doesn't ride the coattails of their QB? It's becoming a league where only the best QB's win Super Bowl's.

They have the personnel in place (except for maybe guard) to do what he likes to do on offense (vertical attack). Won't be thrilled to switch to the 3-4 if he brings Ray Horton along though.

Switching to the 3-4 would set them back 2, maybe 3 years. That would be a huge mistake. So if Whisenhunt wants to run this defense, I want no part of him.

I don't think the 3-4 transition would be that difficult, as long as Sheard is able to make the switch to OLB.
