This is funny.

I can only hope Weeden is gone! I'm fine with Colt being our QB next year now that he has an actual running back and more developed receivers, and a coach who isn't a dumbf*ck. My desire to draft a project QB who will be good 2-3 years down the road hasn't changed, but I would much rather see Colt than Weeden as our QB. Especially in an uptempo offense.

I have no questions about Kelly being able to run successful schemes in the pros.
What I do question is his ability to handle a pro team. Don't forget that Kelly chased off 2 starting qbs from Oregon in his 4 years as head coach. If he clashes with egos that bad in college, how is he gonna handle the egos of pros making millions of $$.
I'm skeptical about his ability to do so, but if he keeps an open mind to learning, he can become successful

Who did he run off? Roper transfered because he lost his starting job, and Masoli was suspended for felony burglary then kicked off the team when he was caught with drugs.

It was a prototypical inflammatory LJ comment where he makes a statement not shrouded in any bit of truth. Chip did not run those QBs off, like you said.Mulva;1357806 wrote:Who did he run off? The guy hands out offensive advice to bill fucking belichick. Id love to see what he can do for us. Our offensive play calling has been pissing people off for years. We sure as hell wouldn't have that problem anymore.

I was against Lombardi coming to Cleveland but let's be honest it can't get much worse. We have been 5-11 4-12 5-11 the last three years

“He should be the starting quarterback at the University of Oregon right now.” Floyd said.
“Why did he leave?” The radio personality asked.
“Because of Chip Kelly. 100%. 1oo%. Him and Chip Kelly got into it. Just saying, ‘Coach what do you think my chances would be if I declared in the draft?’ He is going to Chip Kelly as a mentor, coach, as a father figure. ‘You know Coach, I have aspirations to play at the next level. Like any other player does at the college level.’”
“What did Chip tell him?”
“Chip was like ‘WHAT? You want to leave? You think you are going to go to the draft? You think you will get selected in the draft? We don’t want you back. Kick rocks.’”
“That’s what Chip said?”
“YES! Him and Darron got into it heavy.

Ya, I'm sure Thomas was an angel in that particular situation.
Roper lost his job to Masoli.

I do not know enough about Lombardi to really judge, but from a quick search..Id say the Browns were alright under him before. No clue how the Eagles were the year he was there/why he was left or fired. Im not sure how fair it would be to judge him under Al Davis, who we know was making most of the decisions.

But look, it's not like I said he can't do it, it's honestly the only question I have about him moving to the NFL.

I find it REAL hard to believe Chip would tell him they do not want him back on the team and to "kick rocks". And as for the evaluation, he was right.LJ;1357822 wrote:http://750thegame.com/common/global_audio/379/61570.mp3

As for Kelly, a couple weeks ago I did not like it at all. But after learning about his past at New Hampshire, I have learned and have hope that he will use the offensive talent he has in the way that is the most beneficial. I see him molding a system around the talent he has/acquires, not the other way around. And for that, I do not think it is necessarily the end of Weeden, though still probably likely, because I see Richardson as more valuable than Weeden.
Smart Football ‏@smartfootball Chip Kelly's top run plays -- inside zone, outside zone, and power (guard pull) -- are same Trent Richardson ran at Alabama

I don't find it hard to believe. I also don't think Thomas was as innocent as the quote above.Pick6;1357830 wrote:I find it REAL hard to believe Chip would tell him they do not want him back on the team and to "kick rocks". And as for the evaluation, he was right.

Well, I can agree with that. But that would mean the report Floyd gave was inaccurate.LJ;1357838 wrote:I don't find it hard to believe. I also don't think Thomas was as innocent as the quote above.
