Also a lot of talk on twitter that Lombardi is already in place behind the scenes. FML

I've seen where if Kelly is the man they'll look to package Weeden in a deal to get the #1 pick from KC and grab Geno Smith.

Sounds like the Kelly deal is done. I'll keep an open mind, but I'm skeptical.

yeah, agreed. Weeden is gone...no doubt about it. I guess Lombardi has done nothing but rip him apart since before the draft. Hello Alex Smith.

Getting Lombardi is the worst thing possible. Might as well just prepare for start all over again in 2 years.

Lombardi, Banner and Kelly...sweet....maybe we can get our Jamarcus Russell. Any qbs in this years draft that can throw 50 yards from their knees? That is all we are looking for.

I don't want Banner, but I know nothing about Lombardi other than he's been out of the game for a bit, why the hate?

His claim to fame is finding Charles Haley. Other than that he has been a complete failure at player personnel

I'm fine with this. I'm a little skeptical....but I'm not gonna bash it until I see what they do. I've seen a few tweets that Chip will keep Jauron. I hope that's the case.

I don't think he's going to be the one running the show, but I'm not upset about the move either way. He's had plenty of time to learn from his mistakes.

Apparently not if he is already considering giving up picks to get Geno Smith.

Joe Banner is a hell of a con man.

He convinced Jimmy Haslam that Mike Lombardi, a guy with a piss poor personnel record who's been out of the NFL for 5 years, was the best personnel guy available that his money could buy.

For his part, Lombardi will be indebted to Banner for bringing him back into the league, and allow Banner to accomplish his true mission of finally being able to pick players.

I am OK with the Kelly hire, but this likely hiring of Lombardi is nothing more than a Banner power play and it is disgusting.

Will Burge ‏@WillBurge Source in #Browns organization told me that just over a week ago Colt McCoy was told by Joe Banner he is "in the next head coach's plans"

Interesting.

Kind of like having an SI swimsuit model fall madly in love with you and you find out she has herpes.Enjoy the time and get set up with Valtrix.
The best quote I have seen on what it feels like to know we got Kelly but are stuck with Lombardi.
