Yeah, Sherriff Fred, along w/ Reno, definitely has his good qualities (he doesn't mess around when it comes to child abuse in this county) and I commend him for showing up and answering questions at the rally.

Props to the person who put the Boondocks Saints quote on the Social Stream of the video. Sums up my feelings on this whole incident perfectly.

"Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men."

Just got home a while ago and watching the rally now. Looks like better weather and crowd. PA speakers.

Was there any violence? Hope not, just asking. Watching a 34 minute recording now.

No violence that I know of. One speaker wanted vigilante justice, but the Anon quickly said No.

Found another Ustream channel, says over 2000 people showed up. KYAnon tweeted there was a rumor of a shooting after but it was false.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Authorities investigating rape accusations against two high school football players in eastern Ohio launched a website Saturday intended to sort fact from fiction as interest in the case balloons.
The site sponsored by Steubenville city and police officials has the appearance of a legal briefing, with black type on a white background, providing an intentional departure from escalating emotions over the case and how it's been handled.
ONLINE:
City of Steubenville website on case: www.steubenvillefacts.org
STORY: Rape case rocks small Ohio city
"This site is not designed to be a forum for how the Juvenile Court ought to rule in this matter," the site declares.
Two 16-year-old boys are set for trial Feb. 13 in juvenile court in Steubenville on charges that they raped a 16-year-old girl in August. Their attorneys have denied the charges in court.
The website provides a timeline of the case, summaries of Ohio laws that affect sex charges, online posts and reaction to them, facts about the local police force and a pledge of transparency.
Public interest in the case increased this week with circulation online of an unverified video, more than 12 minutes long, that purportedly shows another young man joking about the accuser. The video apparently was released by hackers who allege more people were involved and should be held accountable.
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has called the posting "despicable" but said it didn't constitute new evidence for local investigators, who were aware of it before the posting.
As investigation continues, it has spurred heated commentary online. Some support the defendants and question the character of the teenage girl, while others allege a cover-up or contend more people should be charged.
The latter group includes hacker-activists associating under the Anonymous and KnightSec labels who point to comments they say were posted around the time of the alleged attack on social media by people who are not charged.
A second peaceful protest in as many weeks was planned for noon Saturday at the local courthouse.

Is anyone questioning the two boys' guilt?
Yes. About half the town of Steubenville, actually. Five months later, local students are still blaming the alleged victim for bringing the attack upon herself — she has been referred to on Facebook as "train whore": And some, like one of Steubenville High's 19 football coaches, are blaming her for shaming the storied program:

[INDENT] "The rape was just an excuse, I think," said the 27-year-old Hubbard, who is No. 2 on the Big Red’s career rushing list.
"What else are you going to tell your parents when you come home drunk like that and after a night like that?” said Hubbard, who is one of the team’s 19 coaches. "She had to make up something. Now people are trying to blow up our football program because of it."

They have been aware of Nate Hubbard for a while as that comment was made right after the incident. This is why that program needs to clean house. There is way too many authoritive people that are scum who need to go and never come back.

Interesting snippet from the Sheriff's interview.

"Why put their names out there? Why put their addresses out there? With all the crackpots we have running around this country? With all of the sex offenders were have out there, plenty of them in Jefferson County, why put children’s names out there?” said Abdalla.

Crackpots and sex offenders. Sounds like Friday nights at Harding Stadium.

Ill give the Sheriff this much, He has stood in front of a microphone and said his thing. He has been a true advocate against child abuse there too. Is he corrupt? Sure. But the dude has a big enough sack to not hide during this ordeal.
