This is why NASCAR is great. No problem with Gordon making it.

Also why Bud Selig is a POS. Remember the pitcher who threw a perfect game few years ago but the ump eff'ed up and called dude safe? Selig could have easily gone back and corrected the call to give him the perfect game but he didn't.

Selig is horrible for MLB.

Definitely no problem with Gordon being in. He was rightfully in, and without Penske and MWR's antics, Loganos ass wouldn't be. He only got in by one point over Gordon. He isn't given those 2 positions, Gordon is in by one point and Logano has to get in by wildcard. Kahne was a wildcard lock, leaving one spot available. Bowyer doesn't spin, Newman probably wins, meaning his 2 wins beats Logano for the final wildcard spot.

Lol. Fox Sports Live just had their truck racing panel talk about the Cup Series issues this week and Michael Waltrip is on it. He actually just said "I found out Monday you can't pit your car whenever you want to. I always thought you could pit whenever but NASCAR says you can't." What a bitch.

It's the circle of life for a popular Nascar driver though. DW and Big E went from being hated to loved, Gordon has gone through a similar path, though not quite as loved as them yet. I do think we haven't seen the last of him and Bowyer.
Gordon is still hated. He just doesn't win enough for the haters to be noticed.

Disagree. Gordon is nowhere near hated like he used to be. That's evident when you go to a track. They used to boo the shit out of him. You barely hear any boo's anymore.

Because he doesn't win as much. The winners are always hated.

This is partly true, but I'm telling you, at the race at Kentucky Speedway I saw more Gordon shirts than anyone else. I couldn't believe my eyes. The biggest thing is he's now the old vet and the Busch Brothers and Joey Logano and Jimmie Johnson are the hated ones now because they're young.

Yes, but he's not cheered for if he's hated.

Dear Facebook Fans and the NAPA Community:

After thorough consideration, NAPA has made the difficult decision to end its sponsorship arrangement with Michael Waltrip Racing effective December 31, 2013. NAPA believes in fair play and does not condone actions such as those that led to the penalties assessed by NASCAR. We remain supportive of the millions of NASCAR fans and will evaluate our future position in motorsports.

It's not too surprising since they about left after the whole jet fuel incident.

IOW, we wanted to bail on this deal and they conveniently gave us the cover to do so without having to take a PR hit.

I agree with that. I think they wanted out, and this just gave them an excuse. 5 Hour says it will make a decision later on what it is doing and Aaron's says they aren't going anywhere. If 5 Hour goes, I'd say Aaron's might rethink that move.

Yep. Not much Nascar talk on here this year. My wife's Dad is friends with the Blaney's (mostly Dale), so I'm rooting for Ryan.

I took my Dad to the race last night and it was a blast. Action was really good and Eldora is a great facility. Honestly think it was cheaper to eat there than a restaurant, and the food was good. If Larson would only hit the wall 12 times in that race instead of 20 he would probably have won. Highly recommend going there for any race fan.

dig it! Curious how long it took ya to get out of the track parking? I've only attended Kings Royals in the past, which is a hell of a time too (see vid below) Would have gone last night but had to be at work 5AM. How it sounds it was pretty easy to get tickets last night unlike last year being the 1st annual. Been awhile since I've attended anything at Eldora, by the looks/sounds of things Tony really has fixed it up a lot the past few years.
