Even if you were still together, she'd probably smack you if you got her a Devin Hester jersey and Bears hat!

There should have been. Your relationship gave all the OC dweebs hope of one day landing a real live girl. Unless, of course, fab is just your other username.

We're talking about your relationship, not the Brown's organization.

This. And it was like a solid seven months ago. All parties have moved on, friends were split amicably, etc. ;)

Why'd you guys even break up? Please realize that I am being incredibly creepy by asking, but still DGAF.

I heard this a few yaers about about proposing on a birthday/christmas and such and what happens if, well when, th emarriage ends. Some states consider it a gift if it comes on a valentines, birthday, christmas and you are not legally obliged to return it to the guy, but if ya do it NOT on or for those holidays you are entitled to get it back.
I did a quick search about it and found a few things

.Before you do involve the law, which may well cost you more than the resale value of the ring, there are certain considerations to be borne in mind. Some states decree that an engagement ring given on a special day such as a birthday is clearly a gift and should not be returned. It does not signify an engagement contract but a birthday gift. It could even be considered a bit of a skinflint gift in the first place as he was obviously trying to pass the engagement ring off as your birthday gift and thus saving the expense of buying a birthday gift if he was intending to propose anyway.
Other states consider an engagement ring a conditional gift, thus if a woman accepts a proposal of marriage the ring symbolises the promise of marriage. Thus if the marriage does not go ahead the ring should be returned. This is further complicated though by some states attaching the fault based rule, so if one party backs out they should not get to keep the ring. Other states back the idea of the ring as a no fault conditional gift, so if the marriage does not go ahead the ring goes back even if the guilty party was a slime ball.

I have no girlfriend/wife so no expenses there. The side chicks are all batshit crazy or emo (ask fab4) so I am getting them various things that can be used in conjunction with suicide.
