We tend to just buy the things we want for ourselves throughout the year. All of our money comes from the same account so it's not like I'd be buying her a gift or she'd be buying me a gift.

i need to get my lady something. i'm throwing in on a massage and a thirty-one(it's a girl thing, no idea) that my sisters are getting her, but i need to get her something just from me. We have a small budget so it doesn't have to extravagant. I got her a necklace last year, i sure as shit am not getting her a ring, earrings are boring to me.

I'm out of ideas. I would get her a cowboys jersey, but that wouldn't really be a present for her.

My girlfriends birthday is the Dec 18th. This year I'm taking her to Chicago the weekend before her birthday and proposing so the ring will be all she gets this year.

If he doesn't, then take the ring back. The ring isn't hers until you get married, it's just a contract that you will get married, so until it's official, the rock is yours to take back.

My wife made it clear that she is expecting something that she hasn't had to tell me. Why? I don't understand why you wouldn't want stuff that you asked for.

When we get back from Chicago on the 19th she will be leaving the next day to go to Nashville and spend Christmas with her family and her new Nephew who is supposed to be born tomorrow. I think spending around 9k on her ring better get me off the hook this year.

I'd go with a watch. You could probably snag a nice Michael Kors (Chanel copy) watch with your budget and be done with it.
