Ban hammer comes out on Wednesday. It's taking out the firstborn of every house unless there is blood on the doorway.

Mr. Bemunsey, what you've just said... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Hillsdales is toughest. Smithville has an easy out with fairless. The chipps is pretty easy outside of tuslaw, who should be solid. Daltons is decent as garaway has been very game the last few years, although timken is hard to figure.

Thanks to dhs22p for getting the schedule out, I took it a little further and added the records for the teams from LAST YEAR. I'm not sure what some of the teams have coming back, but for the most part, I don't see the records changing a lot. With that said, Smithville has the hardest schedule with Mogadore and loundonville both being tough and big with Hillsdale having the 2nd toughest. Not wanting to discount the Chipps easy schedule, but Rittman, you better go undefeated against those teams. LOL

Only 129 days till kick-off........(with season starting August 23)

No kidding. If you're rittman you have to schedule like that right now to try and get a little momentum. I always gave hillsdale a hard time (deservedly so) when they had Lucas and mapleton along with the redbirds. They upgraded that nicely and loudonville climbed out of their hole.

I agree dhs22p. It's time to turn it up a little in here. I'm a Bobcat so I'll ask the obvious question. Can anybody beat them this year? They have a QB that threw for 3800 yards last year. 2 - WR/DB's with D1 offers a couple very good returning linemen and a bunch of kids that played a ton do to repeated blow outs. Will it be enough for the Cats to keep rollin?

Cats are on fire as of a late. congrats on the 5 in the All Star game this weekend as well. Gonna be tough to beat Norwayne. I would say it would have to be a ball control offense and a crappy night for another WCAL to get them....sound familiar?

Every team CAN be beaten. However, if the Bobcats play disciplined ball ALL year, I see another deep run.

I actually think the undefeated season this past year hurt them. Two years ago, they got that reminder that they weren't invincible, and I personally thought it showed in the playoffs, as they looked HUNGRY. Hungrier than any of the teams I saw them play. That, plus a great bunch of players, was really evident in those tough playoff games that year.

On the Norwayne Bobcats...

I think they will win the league this year. My guess is someone upsets them on the way to the title. I say this not because another county team will be as talented but because something is bound to happen, they'll overlook someone, have an off night, etc, it's the nature of the beast.

The Cats should easily make the playoffs, but I think the run will be shorter than last years. I say this because they will have problems when the opposing team matches athlete for athlete and forces the QB to run. Dreher is an all state QB and deserves all the recognition he gets but he just isn't the scrambler Wallace was. That scrambling aspect was a major key to Norwaynes state championship run.

I know it sounds like a hammering the Cats, but I'm not. It's just how I see it...they are still the cream of the area crop and should still win a couple of playoff games. After all the success of the last 3 seasons, I tend to measure them with a slightly larger stick...fair or not.

This is an interesting one. I think that Norwayne will be good too but I'm going to hold off on any deep playoff runs yet. I followed the Cats pretty closely at the end of last year and got to know several of the fans. They are losing a ton of really good players. Most of the players that played a huge part in last years success also were big contributors when the won the State Championship. It's going to be interesting to see how well this revamped line protects the QB. I think that's the key. They wont be anywhere near as good rushing the ball. Zimmerly was the man carrying the ball for them the last 2 years. I know they have a couple of D1's at WR but neither of them played huge roles at that spot last year. I dont think you can just lose guys like Berger, Mitch K and Smith and not have a little growing pain. Both of the returning WR are talented but I wouldnt say either of them are very tough. Who's going to catch the ball across the middle. Harris basically ran down the sideline every play and Beery basically caught swing passes. He's very shifty. When these guys are finally faced with double teams will they get it done. They may, I just think that's a big question.

All of that being said I think the defense is where they're really going to have to find the right guys. If I remember correctly they were starting 8 or 9 seniors last year

I think the league is looking at 3 or 4 playoff teams this year. Not sure what divisions they will be in (it wont really matter) but Northwestern and Norwayne should be in regardless. 3rd team I think will be in is of course my Dogs. We will probably be D7 but even if we are D6 I think we should be in. Hillsdale is a mystery to me so they would be my next choice. I think most of the bottom tier teams from last year should be improved this year. I think the Chipps and the Indians should better (don't know if it will show in WCAL wins). Smithville loses a lot of talent and Waynedale..... well they got to be better than 0-10 this year.

When is everyone starting up their QB's and team camps this summer? Anyone matching up in passing camps?
