I heard from several sources he was a QB through 9th grade. Anyone could tell when Dreher went down that there wasn't a back up plan. For being an elite coaching staff, you guys fumbled this one.

Now on to Norwayne, I put complete blame on the Head Coach!!!! How in the name of all things that are football Holy you not have a second string QB varsity ready?????? To me that is crazy, out of all the players you have on that team you cant find one person that you could get ready. I understand that it would be hard to find a replacement for Dhrer(SP) but you have to have somebody that could step in. The Miller boy did an outsanding job, but he is a running back and not a QB. I think this puts a end to the conversation, "our Norwayne Coaches good Coaches?". I think they just walked into a situation 4 years ago that even a blind squirrel could have one a State Championship with. The talent was there. from what I understand people said when those two classes where in pee wee that they would do great things in High School.
Sorry for the rant but I feel bad for the players. Take nothing away from Northwestern, they are a good football team and deserved the win, but to not have somebody that would be able to step in and at least run the Offense is unreal!!!!! Maybe its time for a change at Norwayne? 7-3 is not a bad record at all and most teams would take it, but that is very poor coaching on the Head Coach.

As far as the injuries go, everyone knows Harris' shoulder is hurt. Maxwell hadn't played all year and Zollinger has been off most of the year. Nobody has mentioned an injury to Beery. He seemed fine to me. The status of none of those players changed during the game. The coaches were completely aware of the injury status before the game.

I will say it once again.....Great players make great coaches. Let's see what next year brings

I don't know one school who would not trade places with Norwayne and what they have experienced the last three years.

There's something that Chippewa always seems to have, even in down years: athletes. There always seems to be a lot of athleticism on the team. I don't know if there's a steady stream of Wadsworth transfers, or what, but even thinking back to the years I remember them being poor, it was usually a lack of size or discipline or just numbers. But they were always athletic.

I gave Williams the nod because Hillsdale rose up out of complete and utter ruin under his tutelage. The Falcons were absolutely terrible for decades. He was faced with building a program to respectability, changing a culture of losing, and getting rid of those gay blue uniforms before moving into being a contender.


Another candidate that isn't far behind in the "great coach" conversation is Thut. He did a rebuild job on the perennially pathetic Huskies and has taken 2 different eras of kids to week 11...(almost 3, the 2001 huskies narrowly missed the playoffs)

Bescancon is another guy who seems to have a knack for taking turds and sculpting them into diamonds. All the shenanigans surrounding the Schrock ouster may have affected perceptions of him and even slowed the team development last year. Even with that baggage, a team he coaches shouldn't be taken lightly.

Doty will soon be on the hot seat if Dalton doesn't start looking like the teams of old. It's a shame too, because he should have been the one to enjoy the Billker year. That year of playoff success is crucial for a guy in Dotys shoes. Dalton is a small district in an era where soccer, cross country and even golf are competing for a very limited pool of kids. Combine that with the growth of the Northern WCAL schools and you have a recipe for built in disadvantage.

The other 3 coaches.....well,
I'm staying out of the Apple Creek fray....they have enough a-holes with strong opinions, I'm not needed.

Billy Boy and Rittman....my opinion is so offensive, vulgarity and tasteless pics are needed to properly express it.

finally Chippewa....no coach.....nobody to opine on.
