They do the O-H-I-O but then a lot of the students yell " Rip his fucking head off!" They're trying to get the students to stop doing that.

Kinda surprised by the redshirting of Dunn, Marshall, and Thomas.

Same here. I thought for sure Marshall and Thomas would see some action this year but I guess with Philly, Spencer, Fields, and Smith all being juniors and seniors combined with Hall and Wilson they don't need to waste a year of them playing 5 snaps a game. I think both of them will be big time receivers in the next 2 years.

Urban just said that if Braxton has a good week, he will start.

He's said that the past two weeks

Apparently Meyer wanted Braxton to play last week, and Miller said he was too sore to play.

They were bashing him pretty hard on the radio. I look at it this way: If Braxton doesn't feel he's ready, he's not ready. The doctors can say whatever they want to him, but if he doesn't think he's 100% then he doesn't need to force it and play against Florida A&M.

If he were hesitant to go out against Wisky or NWestern, I might have a bone to pick with him...but Florida A&M? Let the man rest.

I think you do have to question Braxton's toughness and pain threshold. He spends a lot of time laying on the ground after he runs the ball or gets hit in the pocket.

I heard Meyer was kind of pissed.

If you paid any attention to Braxton in HS, his proneness to injury should be well documented.

Again, who said this? Someone commenting on ESPN articles? A legit source?

It was all over the radio, and there's this.
Meyer said he wanted Miller to play on Saturday against FAMU but “Braxton felt like he couldn’t go.” That pressed Guiton back into action.

This. I'm sure Braxton's a tough kid or he wouldn't be where he is now. However, he does have that label, but his style of play makes him more susceptible to injury.

I'm sorry, but soreness isn't a reason not to play. He was medically cleared, and it was against FAMU where he wouldn't even have to run the ball, and would only play a few series anyway.

Most of the time I would agree with you.

But since it was against the worst team I've seen OSU play in my lifetime then....yeah I don't care that he sat.

Pretty much, although I would have liked him to play one or two series just to shake any possible rust off and get comfortable in the pocket, since they're going to be playing an actual team that has an actual defense this week.

Anytime you play football there is a chance of injury, so even though it was against FAMU the best long term decision was for Braxton to not play. By the way Guiton did not play all that well against FAMU, I thought of the 3 games that he has played this was his worst game. He threw 2 Red Zone picks that were A. wiped out by stupidity and B, a defensive penalty, neither of which had any effect on the balls he threw. I really like KG but he is no Braxton Miller and any chance of a Championship being won will be with Braxton at QB and not Kenny Guiton. I also would have liked to have seen Miller play just enough to knock the rust off before Wisconsin comes to town.

lol at those who question Coach Meyers' decision (and as long as Miller was cleared by the medical staff, it was his decision) not to play him...I think he knows what's best for Miller and the team.

Why would you ever put a player on the field who doesn't feel ready to play? Y'all are fucking dumb as hell if you wanted Braxton Miller, who didn't feel right, to be on the field.

Not being ready to play, whether mentally or physically, leads to injury. I can't even fathom the reaction if he played and further injured his knee.

I heard that the "heated discussion" was with Meyer, Miller AND the training staff. That the staff said if he was sore that he shouldn't play, Miller said he was sore, Meyer kept telling him that it was all in his head and needed to play. The training staff was on Miller's side.

I'm always skeptical when I hear stuff like this.

How does this info get out? You would think the details of an incident like that would be kept in house.
