I expected him to stay at the pivot with Smith and Ball/Dunn. I've never been a fan of Hall. Plus he is part of the 2010 group that caused OSU to get repeat offender status

Smith, then Dunn, with Hall as rb/flanker

They claim Shazier is bigger and even faster than he was last year. He's gonna be a monster this year, and this defense is going to give up very few points.

Depends on how well the other two lb's play and if the Dline is as good as they think it'll be.

Very true, I just think there is more speed and athleticism on this defense than we have seen in some time at OSU.

Yeah it's probably been since 2006 since we've seen this. 2005 & 2006 had ridiculously incredible defenses, how they lost a national title I do not know

Possible? Yes. Likely? No.

Joey Gallaway was faster than Ted Ginn as I'm sure others in the past and future have been and will be. His straightline speed was impressive but the overall package of quickness and the ability to run a pass pattern was not.

Why are you so reluctant to admit that someone is as fast, or faster, than Ginn?

This, which is why I said I hope Dontre Wilson has a little more lateral quickness than Ginn had.

I really can't wait for football to start so we can just see for ourselves.

Not sure why people don't think Ginn had lateral quickness. If you watch his highlight films, there are plenty of times where he stopped on a dime, changed direction, and just ran away from everyone. Ginn is the fastest person I've seen in college football wearing pads. If Wilson is close to that, he will be pretty special.

Add Ezekiel Elliott and Joey Bosa to the growing list of freshmen who have lost their black stripes.
Ohio State is in the midst of nine practices in six days, including two-a-days today. Elliott and Bosa lost their stripes during Monday morning's practice, which means more stripes could come off later this evening.
Joe Ramstetter, Mike Mitchell and Dontre Wilson also lost their stripes.

Se_alum, thanks for reminding me how much I hated that Ginn always went out of bounds refusing contact.

So you wanted our most explosive player to take more hits than he had to?? LOL!

Yeah, it's not like he did it excessively.

Some people just enjoy complaining.

Actually, he did do it excessively. Your memory must have holes, because that highlight doesn't show what I'm referring to. Most likely because it's a highlight.

I guess I just didn't notice. I was mainly focusing on him burning defenders to the end zone.

He's small anyway, I'm cool with it.

I know I would rather have those 2 extra yards from my star player than have him healthy at the end of the season....

I wish Ginn would come back to Columbus and teach Braxton how to go out of bounds.

Because admitting that "someone" is as fast, or faster, than Ginn is like saying...

... some other track athlete(s) is as fast, or faster, than Bolt.

Sure there's other track athletes who have beaten Bolt / might be on his level, but for the most part, the majority of the population is simply behind him.

People aren't giving props to just how fast Ginn truly was. Not saying "no one" is as fast, or faster, than Ginn... rather, just trying to say Ginn's speed in college was probably the 97% percentile, if not higher. Give the man his due/respect.

Quarterback is just a bit different than a WR. Guess that distinguishable difference doesn't mean anything to you though.
