Edit:
Damnit see, now we have some side conversation about LSU/Hill/Miles. I'll go start a general thread I guess.

HIGHLY doubt Wilson has "Ted Ginn speed".Fly4Fun;1483570 wrote:Word is he's got Ted Ginn speed. Hopefully Dontre Wilson has a little more lateral quickness.
I haven't seen him so I honestly can't comment. But even the fact that his name is being brought up in conjunction with Ted Ginn when discussing his speed is promising.Scarlet_Buckeye;1483999 wrote:HIGHLY doubt Wilson has "Ted Ginn speed".
Meh. Every running back at UM seems to be the next Tyrone Wheatley in fall camp.Fly4Fun;1484009 wrote:

See, that's why I think it's different. People don't always go on saying that the next fast recruit has Ted Ginn Jr. speed. Since I haven't found it to be overused I am optimistic about him. That's my take on it at least.WebFire;1484013 wrote:Meh. Every running back at UM seems to be the next Tyrone Wheatley in fall camp.
I'm with you, but his highlight tapes are unreal.Scarlet_Buckeye;1483999 wrote:HIGHLY doubt Wilson has "Ted Ginn speed".
Why? Do you think Ted Ginn is super human or something?? He was damn fast, but I've gotta' believe there are a lot of players just as fast, if not faster, than Teddy G.Scarlet_Buckeye;1483999 wrote:HIGHLY doubt Wilson has "Ted Ginn speed".
Terry_Tate;1484033 wrote:Best comparison between events I can find is the 200 meter dash. Ted Ginn ran it in 21.16, Dontre Wilson ran it in 21.15. Can't find good 100 times to compare, but they're both pretty dang fast.

LOL. I was using Tyrone as an example. They don't literally say Tyrone Wheatley every time. I'm just saying there are a lot of camp heroes.Fly4Fun;1484018 wrote:See, that's why I think it's different. People don't always go on saying that the next fast recruit has Ted Ginn Jr. speed. And I disagree with your assessment.WebFire;1484066 wrote:LOL. I was using Tyrone as an example. They don't literally say Tyrone Wheatley every time. I'm just saying there are a lot of camp heroes.
Destined to be star then.Fly4Fun;1484070 wrote:And I disagree with your assessment.
I understand the point you're trying to make. People tend to get excited and compare to former greats.
But I don't think that has happened with Ted Ginn as OSU fans appreciate how fast he was. But I have heard comparisons for Wilson and Ginn's speed. I've also heard people saying he's electrifying.
Forgive me for being a OSU fan and being excited about reports out of camp.
I guess I missed the whole black stripe thing last year. Just got done reading up on it some. It seems like a cool tradition/incentive for the players.Tiger2003;1484093 wrote:Walk-On WR Joe Ramstetter, from Elder High School is the first to have his black stripe removed.

I was making fun of F4F's literalness more than anything.Midstate01;1484121 wrote:I think anything less would be a shock honestly. Players at bigten media raved about him, but you expect players too. But after media members saw him for just a short time, they were in awe.
So unless he turns into the next bam childres then I think he will be a star.
From what I could tell from a couple of articles from last year, all freshmen have a black stripe put on their helm. It's to "separate" them from the team instead of older forms of hazing such a shaving heads. A player gets their black stripe removed when they've done something worthy of being a full member of the team.SportsAndLady;1484127 wrote:What does that mean
