Ben Axelrod ‏@BenAxelrod
RT @GoldandBlackcom: http://GoldandBlack.com has learned that Darrell Hazell has informed his players he's not taking the #Purdue job.
but that tweet from the purdue site has since been deleted, so who knows

Interesting ESPN article... it points to $$ being the reason why Bielema is leaving, which a few of us were guessing, but not necessarily HIS pay.
http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/67150/loss-of-bielema-a-b1g-bitter-pill-to-swallow
2.6M at Wisky and just over 3M being reported for Arkansas. So that's a modest pay upgrade for a job that will arguably much tougher to compete at.
The article mentions that a main motivation may be his ability to hire and retain better assistant coaches, which is really becoming a big criticism of the B1G (lack of willingness to pay competitive salaries for assistants).

Rumors saying that Bielema knew he was leaving 2 weeks ago. That would coincide with the rumors that Alvarez was hiring Blake James to replace him, who would bring Al Golden with him.

Miles fell into a dream job without any real credentials and has somehow managed to hang onto it despite being a poseur. Saban is a legit challenge but he aint no Urbie.

Ok. We should just wipe out his record and BCS championship then.Tiernan;1336774 wrote:Miles fell into a dream job without any real credentials and has somehow managed to hang onto it despite being a poseur. Saban is a legit challenge but he aint no Urbie.

Mario Cristobal out at FIU. He should have fled to Pitt/Rutgers last year. One of the rare examples of a guy overstaying at a mid-major and it ended up biting him in the ass. Can't blame coaches going for the money grab when you read things like this.

The guy was slightly better than .500 at OK St before he lucked into the LSU job. Many Tiger fans themselves feel he should have 3 NCs now with the talent he's had in the Bayou. Poseur.WebFire;1336787 wrote:Ok. We should just wipe out his record and BCS championship then.

He had more winning seasons in 4 years than OSU had in the previous 13 years. Yeah, poseur :what:

Lol @ Miles being on the same level as Urban and Saban. Those two are in a class all of their own.
