My dad made this point a few years ago when it comes to this issue. As more and more rust belt citizens move south for more friendly business opportunities and better weather in their waning years, you see more and more squabble between lifelong big ten football fans and current SEC fans. The SEC fanbase is a bit younger and now because of recent success, has become more brazen. This has produced a kind of elite regionalism when it comes to football. My dad said it was that way when he traveled throughout the U.S. in 1960's and 1970's. Woody and Bo were akin to Les Miles and Nick Saban today.

No. You could plug different teams/conferences in those and find retards in any part of the country to fit the bill
