However, the "coaches making mistakes" claim is weak, especially when it comes to personnel moves pertaining to players he sees EVERY DAY in practice. I can't speak for you, but I know I only watch them on game days.

So because a coach sees a player every day, he can't be wrong?

Let me ask you this..do you think its possible a coach can grow attached to a certain player thus creating bias?

To answer your first question, yes, he can't be wrong. The decision on who to play is subjective, so how is that wrong?

Secondly, anything's possible.

Often times coaches, imo, grow dependent on older players. Call it a bias, call it trust, call it whatever. A lot of times those players DO NOT give you the best chance to win, but they also wont make the mistakes and wont "cost" you the game so to speak. It is the safer play than putting in the inexperienced freshman or sophomore. It isnt the wrong move per se, and often the safe play works out. But it can also limit a team in many ways, and we see this a lot. Not saying Matta is doing this at all, but it has certainly happened throughout the years and coaches will tell you as much.

Amir Williams is so frustrating to watch. Always brings the ball down instead of immediately going up.

Looks far from awful, but 2 of his shot attempts were bad. His potential is crazy high though.

Tonight he looks awful, but I do agree with this, and also your comment about Williams-I just don't see him "getting it"...it just ain't there

Nw not trying to drive it at all yet we are giving them room on the outside like they cant stop the drive. We just are flat and look like a team resdy to give up

If I could help I would, but honestly have never tried an online feed. All you're missing is Northwestern hitting a shitload of 3s.

Rest of Ohio State shooting 50%, Thomas is 2/11 I think. Not their fault on offense.

I like Ross a lot. But its hikarious to think ppl including himself I think thought he was a possible one and done. He needs all four years. He can shoot, thats it. He can't dribble or drive and plays 0 d.

I don't think anyone really believed that after he arrived at OSU. I don't even know where the "one and done" shit started, but I do remember hearing about it.

As much as I love Shannon Scott, there's no excuse for him not being at least a 75% FT shooter.

NW was 7/16 from behind the arc in the 1st half including somewhat of a prayer 3 just before the buzzer sounded. They continued the hot shooting the 2nd half by hitting their 1st three 3-pointers.

OSU gets key 3-pointers from the unlikely duo of Sam Thompson and Shannon Scott. This was a difficult game and now the Bucls go to Wisky who lost in OT to Minny tonight. It will be another close game.
