This. Trey is in the running for National Player of the Year.

So what?

What's your prediction on his statline?

I will probably face criticism because of this, but articles like this frustrate me because everyone wants Aaron Craft to be more than what he is. He's a great defender and hustle player and a fearless competitor, but that's where it stops. His offense is abysmal and he is not a good shot creator for his teammates. He's been fine the last 2 years having players like Sullinger, Thomas, Buford, Diebler, and Lighty, but this year his plate has gotten too full and he just can't do everything asked of him. I'd love to see what this team could do with 30 minutes of Shannon Scott being the main ball handler and Craft just being an accessory piece on offense, but it probably won't ever happen.

Craft just hasn't progressed offensively like people had hoped/wished for. It's really as simple as that.

Yep. As the article points out, he does a lot of other things well which is great, but his offense will be the demise of this team unless something changes.

You were dead on regarding him playing with other solid players. They carried the point load and when he scored it was more like a bonus. It appeared as he was on the rise regarding his offense. I also heard he improved significantly in the offseason. I'm guessing whoever wrote that based that line on wishful thinking.

You just can't depend on him offensively, at all.

I agree. However, I like our team better when he's on the court, especially when the opposing team's guard is their best scorer. Now, it may not always work out, but I still think Craft in the lineup (along with Scott) gives us the best chance to win.

No criticism from me. I've said from the beginning of the season that there is no hiding Craft's offense this year, due to the lack of other offensive weapons. Hopefully the rest of his season is more like the Purdue game, and less like the Duke/Kansas games.

He's at 1.8 a game on the year. I would bet it's around that. Which is NOTHING for a big time PG.

I'd be surprised if he didn't have 4-5 TO's.

This is random but was just thinking this. The Kaepernick over Smith switch should really make other coaches think about making switches earlier. I know it took an injury for it to happen, but Harbaugh made the switch and its paying off. Just made me think about Matta switching Craft and Scott's roles. Ok, there's my anti Aaron Craft post of the day, I'm done. :)

So you're wishing injury on Craft now? We know you don't like him, we get it, but be careful what you wish for.....everybody likes the backup

I said switch their roles, not for Craft to get injured. And this isn't about everyone likes the backup, the backup has outplayed the starter in about 10 less minutes a game.

As far as scoring, yes, but I'm not sure you can make that blanket statement. IMO, we need them both on the floor to give us the best chance to win. Period.

In 140 less minutes Scott has just 1 less assist, has 5 more steals, and has the second highest Assist to Turnover ratio in the country. Craft is a little better on ball defender but Scott IMO is better when their man doesn't have the ball. Credit a lot of that to Craft for teaching him, but Scott is a better athlete. I'm not sure Craft is in the best 5 for Ohio State but like I said, 25-30 minutes a game from him is fine.

So damn excited for the game today. Ross/Williams/Rav will have to show up for this one. Undefeated and essentially #1 Michigan coming to Columbus. Hell yes.

OSU is -2...-2.5 on other sites.

I know it's at home, but still expected UM to be favored.
