I think Matheiu was more deserving than Suh due to the plays he made on defense and special teams.

Suh. Matheiu wasn't even the best corner on his team.

Te'o isn't even in the top 50 nationally for solo tackles or TFLs. As a linebacker. That's why the 6 INTs isn't as impressive to me. You can't win a Heisman just because you have 6 INTs (some given to you) as a LB. It's not enough.

It's the #1 defense in the country, and Notre Dame's offense has dominated time of possession this season. No wonder he isn't leading the country in tackles or anything.

That's why things like leading his team in tackles by 40+ is important. Just because you aren't on the field (because you force punts/turnovers) doesn't mean you aren't being an animal.

It's sorta why they didn't give Heismans to Hawaii QBs...

Please list which criteria he is lacking in.
He's not even the best player at his position. I'm going to compare him to Shazier, again.

Shazier: 109 tackles (67 Solo, 42 assisted), 14.5 TFL (64 yds lost), 4 Sacks (36 yds lost), 10 PD, 3 FF, 1 INT, 1 TD

Te'o: 98 tackles (49 Solo, 49 assisted), 5.5 TFL (19 yds lost), 1.5 Sacks (13 yds lost), 4 PD, 6 INT

Te'o is a great player but compared to other ILB's and defensive players, he's not the best.

Marshall has the best quarterback in the country because he has the most passing yards!

Shazier is an outside linebacker, Te'o is an inside linebacker. Compare stats all you want, but when you say he isn't the best at his position and compare him to a different position, I LOL.

an LB is an LB. Also, Shazier has spent a fair amount of time this year at MLB. LOL. I say since Shazier is more versatile, he is the better player.

sorry, you couldn't be more wrong about all linebackers being the same as far as responsibilities go. please keep showing your deep understanding of football.

ok let's compare a tailback and a fullback stats wise, they are both RB's right? you said a LB is a LB in response to me saying OLB are different than ILB. what else could you have meant?

No it's really not. There is a huge difference between MLB and olb especially in different schemes. If you don't know the difference you really don't know football

All LBs have a mix of read, and blitz or zone and man. Its all the same.
