It is hard to be to upset over awards or lack of when you win 5 games...win more games next year and awards will come with it...

I agree with you on the fact, you get more hardware withwins, but Jonathans efforts merit more than a honorable mention, when opposing coaches vote you second team ina league full of division one schools, not to mention quality teams like Senior and West Holmes, that tellsme that there was a error made, that's all.

Flash....I realize it is not complete, but is that the finished color for the bleachers? Looks like a tan color? Maybe red sleeves or covers go over top of that? The brown doors to be painted as well?

Not sure if that's seating or flooring your seeing. Tan would match the walls, but? Red or black would of been my choice. I'll ask on Thursday.

Red it is. Tan would have looked good but not been cool.

Speaking of cool...I heard that it has been finalized and the new court will be named Steve Smith Court.

Great gesture for one of the best boys basketball coaches in the state of Ohio!

Well now that football is over. What can we expect in basketball? I'm guessing a 500 or slightly below season and a chance in the tournament to get to the district finals. No real height, but seems like a lot of bodies. Dennis gets to play right away and doesn't have to sit. Is Zook coming out? When can Ritchie play? Can Jachai get grades next 9 weeks? Others to watch: Harrison, Summers, Simpson, Smith, Nat Holik. Can freshman Conway get some playing time? If your planning on coming to this forum and be negative, I want to hear a prediction now on what a good season would be with these players and this coach. Don't wait until the end of the year and second guess what's happening. Make a prediction so we can hold you to it. We were 5-17 last year in regular season. My guess is 9 and 13 with this coach and these players. Predict now or talk to the hand.

I think 9 to 10 wins in the regular season is about right...I heard that Zook is out and already hurt in the first day of practice. Maybe someone find out the extent of the injury...

Really?! What does a prediction prove and hold people to what, how good or bad they guessed? If they finish 19-3 does that mean you were starting out the forum being negative about the team?

Submitting your opinion about the teams and coaching performance is just that, an opinion. Let it be that and be done with it.

most people on here do this just for fun. You can be dead wrong and nothing happens. You can be dead on...and nothing happens. It is called conversation.

If you make a prediction that we'll be terrible and have us losing all of them, then if we go above that record we could hold your foot to the fire. But if you think the coach is great and we should win them all with our talent then let it be known. Waiting till after each game and telling us you knew we were going to stink and we were all homers for the team because we love the coach is another story. As I remember, you've never make a prediction and just sit back and snipe about every loss and it's the coaches fault for not instilling this and that into his players. I've predicted were going to be 9-13. Would you call that being negative? I knew you wouldn't predict anything.

Haven't seen a schedule yet, but I know we are playing nearly all of the WCAL in the regular season. I think we get 12-14 wins in the regular season.. We will probably lose both games against Senior, and another 3-4 to other OCC teams. Zook will be back before season starts...rolled his ankle in the first practice. Dennis will probably handle the point with Jachai being out (grades). Summers and Smith will be our primary scorers, but we will need more than those two putting the ball in the hoop to be successful!

I'm glad hat you "knew I wouldn't predict anything". That doesn't prove anything. I've never made a prediction and never will. I'll make a comment after the game if I attended the game and those "snipes" are verily commentaries of what I observed during the game. If I say that the coach didn't instill "this or that" it's based on the evidence that it hasn't been "instilled" contrary to you and some others saying that it has been.

Be careful...rr-none and rrfin would consider that "prediction" as negative! LOL!

I will say 11-11 during the regular season, and then get knocked out of the tourney in the district semifinals. By the way, does anyone have a list of the teams in the Wooster District tourney this year? I know that Dalton is there this year. Any other newcomers? Whose place did Dalton take? IMO, the new rule requiring the higher seed to host sectional games will make it much harder for a lower seeded team to upset somebody since it will be a road game for them.

I heard Tuslaw and Fairless also, but haven't seen the list. Just pulling your chain Series. On occasion your thoughts are insightful.
