Have to agree about two of them being poor, but saying that, we shot so bad, and they were athletic but undisciplined, so can't complain about the outcome being unjust. Good news is we will be better next year. Jakari (sp) looked like we should have played him some during the season. Has great court awareness and distributed the ball for what should have been easy baskets, but people weren't used to getting the ball and missed the easy bucket. My preseason choices for next year. Jakari point guard, Luke Smith (get stronger), Short ( please practice shooting over the Summer) can't make a layup but plays good D, Summers, Zook ( please come out we've suffered enough with out you), and a host of fifth players- Perez (who has seemed to develop a mean streak-Good), Karon (practice shooting with Short), Ritchie and maybe even another freshman Conway. I know Sly doesn't like to play under class men, but Conway is a team player and plays hard. Well I've had my say since the season is over. Its gone about like I expected, we played hard as any Sly team will. I predicted 4 regular season wins and we had 5. My prediction for next year is 10-12 wins.

Non shooting guard. LOL. Defensive guard? Palmer has better court awareness and passing abilities. I admit I haven't seen Palmer enough so maybe he can shoot better.

The offseason development of Robinson and Palmer will determine a big part of the successes of both football and basketball..Dyson too. Need all 3 to make 'the leap' physically, in their dedication and most importantly..they just need to 'get it.'

All the athletic talent in the world..could be their golden ticket out of Orrville.

You are assuming they want to leave Orrville. There have been many great athletes leave Orrville only to come back after a semester or two. The dedication and discipline it will take for those three kids to achieve their potential in high school will have to be multiplied for them to succeed at the next level. I agree that they are extremely talented.

Hiland, West Holmes, and Orrville all making the regionals in girls basketball indicates the level of play in that sport around here. Hopefully, the boys teams in Wayne County can get back to that level soon.

Lots of Good points flash, I am bias, (nephew) but I wouldn’t count Chad Harrison out for next year, the year off hurt, but I think he could contribute some, with some off season work.

I hope JT and Chad play as well, but something tells me they wont! The one thing we dont have right now is a group of kids that are basketball "first" kids. All of our players this year play another sport that is their "focus". Thats the mindset now. Most kids put their summer camps and workouts into one sport! Good or bad I dont know, but the more sports you play the better!

I agree with that 100% These kids are to young to specialize. There is plenty of time for that in College. Play as much as you can in High School it only makes you better.

Why would you say people/teams were "running from Orrville"?

Explain to us all how a team with 0 wins plays a team with 5 wins in round one. Thank you for poping back in to stir.

Too bad for Black River, setting a record with an 0-23 season.

Very disappointed in post season awards, Thought Landis deserved better, too much heart and hustle to just get honorable mention.

Perhaps they thought it would be much easier to beat a team with a .29 record than one with a plus .50 record. I asked a simple question, what part of it was "stirring"? If you couldn't answer it, then say nothing.

Better late than never, March 23[SUP]rd[/SUP] the All-Daily Record Basketball teams came out, Jonathan Landis Honorable Mention, come on, really. I know we had an off year, but what a slap in the face of this kid, he deserved more than that. Thanks for all the hustle this year boys and girls teams, enjoyed watching both teams, and good luck seniors. Ok had to get that off my chest, I will move on to Track, Baseball, and Football around the corner

Yeah Jonathan should have been 2nd team at worst. Had a really solid season.
