The fastest returning runner from the state meet is Colby Alexander who went 4:15. The fastest returning runner from the 3200, besides Wills, is Doug Norris who ran a 9:24.

We saw how much Wills' coach held him back this year, not wanting to tire him out for the postseason after the state meet. I don't think his coach will allow him to try the double, although I think he could pull it off. Wills will probably want to focus on postseason after the state meet and attempt to beat guys like Lucas Verzicabus (sp).

Personally, I think Wills needs to man up and go for the win to truly establish himself as one of the all-time greats for Ohio. Corey Leslie and Danny Neff have both done it the last two years in the 1600/800.

Zach won't have anyone to run with in the 3200 during the regular season, so will he compete in the 1600 at larger invites for the competition and to work on his speed?

only 6 races to peak? Sounds reasonable.

I believe he already has with national competition. Will he break it at the state meet? Only if he wants to. He may want to go for state meet record. I wonder if he can go sub 4:10.
