I think my "too" was ambiguous. I was stating that ND has struggled against sub-par teams like OSU has. But some of OSU's struggles can be explained away by getting used to a new system for the offense (The early games). the two past defensive performances though aren't as forgivable in my eyes at least. I know that we're hurting at the LB spot. It was a weak spot on the defense before people started getting injured, now it's a glaring hole as we're really thin too. Hopefully that can stabilize though.

Yes, Sports are a what have you done for my lately deal with fans. And in a vacuum it looks like ND is much better than OSU since ND beat a ranked team while OSU struggled against yesterday. That's part of the reason this poll was thrown up.
But I don't think ND is really that much better than OSU. OSU just struggled this past game so it looks bad.
But ND and OSU have had comparable schedules with comparable results.
Both teams only have one road test (MSU) and both won (ND more convincingly).
Both teams also have a (not close) win over a rand opponent (Nebraska and Michigan).
ND does have 1 more ranked win but it was an OT game with a questionable call (Stanford). But a win is a win. And this gives ND an edge, rightfully so.
My point is that OSU could win. But so could ND. My post was more about that the initial quick reaction after Saturdays games is that ND would stomp OSU. But in reality this is football where the better team on paper doesn't always win.
