Forgot about that move. Good call.Azubuike24;1344159 wrote:Not so sure Belmont will make the NCAA Tournament. Now that they are in the Ohio Valley, they have to beat out Murray State. The OVC is pretty decent this year.

And my Arizona prediction is looking wide of the mark. Florida is just better.

Florida is good. This is the first time I've seen them play. Impressed.

Florida might be the best team in the country. They are very good. Like Indiana and Duke, they have tremendous inside-outside balance and swarming defense. This is by far Donovan's best team since the championship clubs in 2006 and '07.

Just got home from Vegas in time to catch the last 2 minutes. How's the game been up to this point?

I agree I'd take Florida over both of those teams at a neutral court.

$32 on Florida -1.5.
It's never easy is it? They were up 6 with a minute left...sigh.

Choke of the year. That was pitiful from a "veteran team".
What a day for Arizona though.

Wow. What a cap to the night. A great day of college basketball.
Arizona is notoriously tough to beat historically in the desert. Florida led the entire way. Damn.

Ehhh idk about that rec. ...they're talented maybe the most talented..but not the best team. At least my opinionreclegend22;1344172 wrote:Florida might be the best team in the country. Lets see...what did we learn today? Not much, other than what everyone has been saying. Nobody is unbeatable. 2 of the 4 or 5 teams who have looked great thus far, lost. Both veteran teams, both had the game just about sealed, both lost...

Arizona's teams led for a combined total of 27 seconds (per twitter) and won by a combined 2 points.

As Az kind of summed up, I'm not sure there is much if any separation between the teams at the top of the standings right now. It's anyone's ball game. Perhaps I was a bit blinded by how well the Gators' guards were shooting the ball -- UF hit 10 of 18 from 3 -- but they looked ultra impressive in my view. Arizona won the game, but they flat out escaped from jail in order to do it. Florida's guards had this game on lock down mode pretty much for 35 minutes.SportsAndLady;1344192 wrote:Ehhh idk about that rec. ...they're talented maybe the most talented..but not the best team. Anyway, I think Duke, Indiana (losing to Butler is nothing to be ashamed of; the Bulldogs are a legit top 15 team), Florida, Michigan, Kansas and Syracuse are all right there. I think any one of them has a reasonable claim as the best team. It's so wide open.

I believe Michigan State should go after Stevens when Izzo decides to step down. Would be a perfect place and culture for him, absolutely perfectreclegend22;1344048 wrote:Good points. And you are so right about UCLA not deserving Stevens. They are a meager, meager fan base. They are the Miami Heat fans of college basketball. When it was Eddie House dropping double doubles in the early 2000s, AmericanAirlines Arena was a church.
I still contend that, though, that the ultra laid back Stevens wouldn't fit well at UK. Although, there is no question that Kentucky is the pinnacle of college coaching. It's just not a job for everybody.

That's probably going to be another decade. Stevens will be somewhere major way before that point.Classyposter58;1344212 wrote:I believe Michigan State should go after Stevens when Izzo decides to step down. Would be a perfect place and culture for him, absolutely perfect

What happened throughout yesterday is why I love college sports so much (except for that UT/Utah St. fiasco)...what a ride!

I think you are right, but I also do not think that Michigan State is a good enough job for Stevens. I mean, it's a great basketball school -- the Spartans have more Final Fours than any other program since 1999 -- but Stevens is a Kentucky, Duke, Indiana, North Carolina, Kansas, UCLA guy. If he is ever to leave Indianapolis, I firmly believe that is his destiny. He very well could be in the greatest ever conservation when it's all said and done. He demonstrates all of the signs. He is that good, IMO.Classyposter58;1344212 wrote:I believe Michigan State should go after Stevens when Izzo decides to step down. Would be a perfect place and culture for him, absolutely perfect

That in my opinion is bull. IMO Michigan State, Syracuse, Arizona and Georgetown are the same thing essentiallyreclegend22;1344315 wrote:I think you are right, but I also do not think that Michigan State is a good enough job for Stevens.
