The circumstances of the Nov. 9 game have now obviously entirely changed. Essentially, both teams have been in the longest half-time ever. I agree that I would like to see this game happen, and was very upset when it was called off as it is one I had been really looking forward to, but they need to replay the entire game. Not just 20 minutes. That's my take, at least.

On a more serious note, Stevens should definitely hold out for a job at one of the top programs. The guy is easily one of the best coaches in the country and he runs a great program, on and off the court. Programs like Carolina, Duke, and UK will be in need of a coach sooner than later, so he should have his opportunity, I would think.

Record took place at Jackson High School....currently the middle school auditorium. Same backboards and 1 of the rims still there.

Also had a 116 point game but NCAA took it away due to being a junior college.

The only thing impressive about that stat is the number of shots he managed to chuck. Also everything I read said 52/108.

As for Stevens, I think you've hit it right on the head, iron. He is just biding his time. While I am sure he loves Butler, and he says that it's the perfect place for him and his family -- an intimate private school with historical basketball relevance in a big city that upholds the traditions and values of small town America -- Stevens will only remain happy there so long as the jobs at Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, Indiana and Kentucky are not vacant. Once one of those prestigious positions opens, his career in Indianapolis will disappear quicker than Mike Vanderjagt.

If I had to wager a guess, I'd say that IU is his dream. But I don't really know for sure. And Tom Crean, unless he bolts for the NBA, will be there for quite awhile longer than Roy Williams or Coach K will in Chapel Hill and Durham.

Taylor scored his 100th point with a little more than eight minutes remaining while teammate Griffin Lentsch -- who scored a then-Division-III-record 89 points 366 days ago -- finished with just seven. Meantime, Faith Baptist's David Larson scored 70. That's not bad. But it's not 138, either.

That would've been hilarious to watch. But man, that has to be awful basketball.

Lol. I've seen them play, and it's not good basketball at all. Nor is it all that exciting. I've seen better at D4 high school games. Tonight the other team had 49 turnovers, and Grinnell's press was weak at best. I don't think I'm anything special at basketball, but I guarantee I could put up 100+ points on 100 shots. The only impressive stat was attempted shots.

Ok so I'm an idiot and watched the first 10 minutes then the whole 2nd half. Here's my thoughts
1) he has a nice crossover and can obviously shoot. Congrats to him

That's literally the last good thing ill say
1) he never ever ever passes. In the first half he'd have two teammates under the basket alone and would go by them for a layup.
2). Didn't pay attention in the first half till about the end, so I counted in the 2nd half. He didn't cross half court once, not ONCE. Even when the other team attempted free throws he stood down by the basket
3) they openly give the opposing team a wide open lay up every time. They don't attempt to play d. Literally they just stand and wait for the ball to go in.
4) this other kids on the team look like they are made to pass it to him. It's like playing FIFA and this kid hits the forced pass to himself button every time
5) they were up like a million points, yet they left him in. At first I was like well, it's just d3. But they literally have like 25 guys on the bench. Play them..

Lastly, I'm not really that good at basketball and I 100% guarantee I could score 50 on the team they played.
Remember that story about the handicapped kid who came in and made it rain from 3? He'd be the best player on the team they just played.

I really loved Durants since it seems like Grinnell is a Christian college.

Grinnell also has what it calls &#8220rimary shooters,” three-point gunners who the team focuses on constantly feeding the ball and who often times will be told to not venture across half-court on defense and instead stay back for a quick cherry pick three. Whether or not it is good basketball is not the point. That’s not what Grinnell is about. They don’t play hoops. They play pinball.
