Thomas Robinson over Dwight Howard. More impressive the more I watch it.
T-Rob is a fucking boss. He's gonna be a human highlight reel in the NBA.

Of all the all-star games, the NBA one is the only one that I might flip to for couple minutes. The rest (NFL, NHL, MLB, etc) I couldn't care less about. The Pro-Bowl is probably the absolute worst all-star game.

3 pt and skills contest are fun, dunk contest is just weak now IMO. Once you start entering props into it, I just lose interest.

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA David Stern will step down as NBA commissioner on Feb. 1, 2014, league sources tell Y! Sports. Deputy Adam Silver will replace Stern.

About time he steps down, couldn't happen soon enough. He's terrible, though not as bad Bud Selig.

And as bad as he is, he's been the best of the major sports.

Not even close. His last 5 years have been god awful. I would put him 2nd best, but that is only because Bud Selig and Bettmen are just beyond god awful.

Compared to Selig, Bettman, and Goodell? I'd have to agree

The dunk contest is okay, more watchable than the actual game. It's not surprising that people got bored of it. How long could they keep making unique and entertaining dunks? But Saturday is definitely more entertaining than Sunday.

As for Stern, I was surprised how favorable he is to the sports media. ESPN radio was singing his praises all day. He's the best of the major sports commisioners but that's like saying you'd rather have diabetes than a major heart attack or brain cancer. I never liked him after he banned those full-leg spandex because he basically hated how they looked, but he continued to let Scott Pollard look like an obnoxious douchebag.

Honestly, at this point I don't think there's hardly any, if any at all, original dunks left without props. So I really don't give a crap about props, I just want to see the coolest dunk. Who cares if someone else has done it? I'd much rather see a between the legs 360 than a superman cape. Stupid.

No arguments from me. One thing I wouldn't mind seeing them do is raise the rim, kinda like Dwight (it was him, right?) did a couple years ago. Most good teenage athletes can dunk on a 10ft rim. Hell, I use to be able to and I'm 6'0 and white and didn't play high school basketball. The props will just keep escalating to more extremes. Right now they're jumping over people and cars. In the coming years they'll be jumping over bears or trains, etc.

I agree completely, it should be all about style. Which most of these players forget. Much rather watch Clyde the Glide dunk than Howard come out of a phone booth wearing a cape. Looks like a clown .

I agree regarding the dunk contest. It jumped the shark years ago. Griffin's dunk over the Kia officially did it for me.

I honestly think the white boy who wont the college contest last year (his name slips my mind) could hang in the NBA version.

The NBA dunk contest is a joke because LeBoob, Kobe, Durant, etc. won't participate in it.

And because of the props.

Which, right now, is like saying Hitler was the best of the genocidal world leaders. When you consider that Bettman seems to be actively trying to sabotage the NHL, Goodell is a tyrant and Selig likes to proportion things in a "one good thing, five bad things" sort of way.

In recent times, I think the best thing ANY pro sports leadership has done would be baseball FINALLY figuring out that having one league with 16 teams and a six-team division; while the other one has 14 teams and a four-team division MIGHT NOT be equal. AND THEY ACTUALLY FUCKING FIXED IT! After a decade or two...but they fixed it, they did!

Goodell would get more credit for his player safety initiative...if it actually showed concern for anyone not an offensive skill player. And his punishments seem to be arbitrary and inconsistent, anyway. Stern deserves props for making the player's union his bitch, but it's kind of telling that the ONE sport where there are legit player-created "super-teams" and a lot of also-rans is not the one with no salary cap.

I actually don't have an issue with Goodell other than his dealings with Haden.

Anyone interested in a fantasy league? If so, it doesn't matter to me what site.
