Oh you are. They really skipped on Barnes for Waiters? Seriously Barnes and Irving would've been an amazing duo.

Kyrie is often hurt, so is Varejao. We'll see what Zellar and Waiters can provide but they're going to have to be impressive.

Sleeper - You said something about the Wizards being the most surprising team. Why?
They got a good starting 5 in Wall, Beal, Ariza, Okafor, and Nene. They should be much better this year.

I thought last year's draft class was awful, like everyone else. i wanted irving and kanter. once that possibility was gone there was nobody i would have taken at 4 (was unsold on Jonas). wanted them to trade back (or trade out entirely).

I liked klay thompson, who looked pretty good this year, and Tobias Harris, who basically did nothing, but wouldn't have touched either of them at 5.

I like zeller. If we were trading up the only other guy i might have taken was t jones. I would have just prefered to keep our second rounders and sticking at 25 or whatever it was. Thought there was good depth in this draft.

I disagree. You can't go in the season with 4 rookies on your roster. Especially 2nd rd picks who rarely ever pan out, zeller was a steal where we selected him. He's very solid in all aspects of the game. He's not a guy whose going to average 20&10 but a guy that can get you 13 and 10 and he runs the floor better than 90 percent of the centers in the nba. The waiters pick I'm ok with because they needed another guy who can create his own shot. The only 2 guys that could do that in this draft were waiters and lamb, and possibly mkg. If you look at college stats waiters actually shot better than beal did.

I agree. This was a deep draft but giving up the 24th pick as well as a couple picks in the 30's isnt that big of a deal

Didn't knwo what you were talking about until I checked the first page on this thread. I needed the lulz. lolfail at blake being a better all around player than KD.

Anyway, you are giving jordo too much credit. No way he will make a prediction and get into a discussion with somebody. He will make an obvious prediction that maybe one person will respond to, and then later in the year he will claim that "a bunch of posters" didn't agree with him.

Tom Thibodeau and the Bulls aggread upon a 4 yr extension. Seems like a no brainer to me. Bulls fans have to be glad its done before the start of the season.

Cause that means your going to be horrible. Especially when their 2nd round picks. And plus there wasn't much room on the roster for them all. Plus the cavs picked up Kevin jones who they would have drafted in the 2nd rd if they had a pick so essentially we got rid of a 2nd and a late first for zeller

I would take a lot of wings that were available in the 2nd over Walton, casspi (at least last year's casspi), and Gibson. I also would have taken a couple PGs (at 25 or in round 2) over Sloan and pargo (who are both 2nd year guys by the way... Not a huge difference).

We were gonna be horrible either way. I don't think rookies would have changed that.

But you also need some vets on this team. I agree about Walton and casspi. But Walton is a huge expiring/ trade chip.

Because Howard is overrated and he'll be shadowed by Steve Nash and Pau Gasol.

On its face, it’s the best talent I’ve been around," Bryant said.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--kobe-calls-lakers-his-most-talented-team-ever.html

My first reaction was to disagree, but when I thought about it, I'd have to agree with him. Also I'd say its more talented than the Celtics team that won it, maybe more than the Bulls team that won (player wise, not the way the team plays together) and maybe more talented than the current Heat team.

I think most people on here severely under rate Pau Gasol, and lets just say I highly disagree with some of the opinions I read on here regarding Howard. Barring an injury, I expect him to be a monster this year. What do you guys think, most talented Lakers team in Kobe's tenure? What about in the league?
