Steve Nash has the record....something like 11 games.

Damn....not that it matters who is ever in for Charlotte....but why was he in with a minute left in a 25 point game?
He was 16/14/4 the last I checked.

This actually may have been me. I absolutely love his game. I think he has the skill set to be the top active center in the game. Last year he had about a ten game stretch where he averaged 26 and 18. He was fourth in rebounding, and third among centers in scoring. He's still only 22 years old. If not for his immaturity, he'd be a star. Definitely one of my favorite UK players.Midstate01;1349472 wrote:And he used to give us updates when he played well too. Which is rare.

We both did it. I definitely posted quite a bit about Cousins last year. I mean his numbers are slightly down this year, but it's stupid to really take jabs are his numbers. He's on a bad team. It's not like he's the sole blame for them not being very good. Obviously he has some issues but like you said, is it really worth writing him off? No way.

No one would be ribbing you about it if you hadn't posted multiple times how terrible the Turner pick was, how tragic it was they passed on Cousins, etc. Obviously now that it's looking like that was a foolish statement, people are going to call you out on it.

IMO, Cousins wouldn't be acting the way he is if Collins was his coach. Nothing against Keith Smart but Collins would probably get to him.

Here's the thing though. I think it was a mistake to take Turner. I don't care if they passed on Cousins. This is strictly as a Sixers fan who just isn't a fan of the Turner pick. Evan is having a good season too...James Gatz;1349578 wrote:No one would be ribbing you about it if you hadn't posted multiple times how terrible the Turner pick was, how tragic it was they passed on Cousins, etc. Obviously now that it's looking like that was a foolish statement, people are going to call you out on it.

Lol why is it so foolish now? Cousins is averaging 16-9-2 and Turner is averaging 15-6-4. Arguments can be made for either being better. If cousins wasn't a head case I'd def want him over Turner.James Gatz;1349578 wrote:No one would be ribbing you about it if you hadn't posted multiple times how terrible the Turner pick was, how tragic it was they passed on Cousins, etc. Obviously now that it's looking like that was a foolish statement, people are going to call you out on it.

I can honestly say I am not surprised. All the advanced metrics said he was this good. He is basically unguardable off the pick and roll

Then why not do the pick and roll to him every time down the court?

They pick and roll a lot. Its why he leads the league in free throws attempted. He gets a layup, an assist or draws a foul a large portion of the time

Because you have to mix it up to keep defense honest? I mean is this a serious question or you just being facetious. Why do the Broncos or the Patriots ever run the ball when you can just have Manning or Brady throw it 100 percent of the time?

No one said Brady or Manning would be unstoppable if they threw 100% of the time.gport_tennis;1349837 wrote:Because you have to mix it up to keep defense honest? Ironman asked why they don't run the pick and roll through James harden every single time? What team on earth in any sport runs 1 play every single time

There's a difference between there being an argument who is better, and insisting that it was a travesty of a pick, which is the statement that now looks foolish.Rotinaj;1349604 wrote:Lol why is it so foolish now? Turner and Cousins are very close output wise, but considering one is a complete headcase and cancer to his team, I'd go with Turner at this point.

He said it was a bad pick because he didnt see Turner as someone who could lead you to a title. Which I think is true, and at #2 overall, thats a waste.
Now, players you might think will be better could bust, but those players might also have a higher ceiling than Turner, making the pick worth said risk.
