JR Smith is not a very good off the ball defender.

I dont care who wins really. I find myself rooting for the Knicks, because I think they are very talented and COULD beat the Heat if they could play somewhat as a team. However, its more likely the Pacers would give them a better series.

So will Knicks - Heat...imo, at least. I think Heat would smoke them.

At least the Pacers have 2 players they can throw it inside to that the Heat have no answer for. Plus, you have last years series creating a bit of a heated match-up with the flagrants and shit with James/Granger.

Either way, I see a 4-1 or 4-2 series. 4-1 for Knicks, Pacers might get 2.

I said it earlier in this thread I think. Pacers getting him in the 2nd round is one of the biggest steals in recent draft history. Born Ready has arrived the second half of this year...

Even better than the pick itself is how well they developed him, the coaching and management has made lance the player he is. He could a been a 1st rounder with Charlotte and would probably be out of the league by now

I said developing into ONE OF the best, in RECENT memory...lol

EDIT: I didnt say developing, I think I said that a few days ago when I brought it up initially. But I for sure never indicated the entire history.

He played really well tonight, imo.

BUT, I will say his 4thQ left a lot to be desired. I think his last 11 touches went like this:

miss, miss, turnover (charge), asst, block, miss, turnover (the Stephenson And-1), 2pt, 2pt, miss, miss.

Also gave up the David West key tip in.

Like I said, I thought he played a really solid game, more rounded then usual for him. But, he did play poorly during a crucial stretch.

yeah, he was effective and efficient tonight with his shooting. Looks like he just ran outta gas in the 4th.

Also lol I think Antonio Davis is like the Shannon Sharpe of NBA analysts....

Melo is going to get a bad wrap until he breaks through, and starts winning and making players around him better on a regular basis. Lebron went through hell for years and he won consistently in the regular season and took his teams deep into the playoffs every single year despite not winning the title, that's just the way it goes though. If you are a star you are going to be held to a star's standard.

Maybe Melo just is what he is, an elite scorer. But everyone perceives him as a star including all of us and media so he is going to be scrutinized big time. Fair or not.

Lebron has greatly improved his 3 and his back to basket game. He is a better player now than his days In Cleveland.

Exactly what I see him as. An elite scorer and that's it. He is probably a top 5 player, but not everybody can be Kobe, Durant, or Lebron.

Knicks made progress this season by winning a playoff series. While I'm disappointed, this is improvement and it's much better than the Starbury years under Layden and Zeke. Not the end I was hoping for but looking back at the overall year.....they took a step forward.
