He just hides it better than Romney does. It is a shame that Obama is probably going to win. I thought that the Republicans could have nominated anyone and would have won this election easily.

Also, one thing I would like to point out. Everyone is gunning for the independent vote and the politicians like to pretend that these independents are a bunch of super informed political junkies who take in information from all sides to try and form an opinion. Most independents are just people who really just don't give a crap about whats going on and usually end up voting for the guy who they think is cooler and who is the presumed winner.
This is a really stupid statement.

You really believe people take the time to research issues and the candidates? Maybe I should have said Americans instead of independents.

Rasmussen has BHO hitting 50% today, while every other poll in America has him up big.

Willard better come out like a crazed dog at the debate this week because this thing is slipping away fast.

I expect him to, think about what he did in debates anytime things started leaning away from him. He destroyed Newt after Newt won S.C

Caught a blurb the other day that said the average American spends 3 hours on the election. I wonder if that is counting all the tv ads together that can't really be avoided (without tivo)

Figure 70-80% anyway just vote straight Dem/Repub regardless. Pretty much the only people that would vote for BO are people who would vote for a paper bag if it had a "D" on it.

This OC poll is skewed
I am going to say that if we look who has voted that 3 or 4 of the those that voted are new or rarely visit this forum
Which would conclude that someone is intentional trying to skew the results...

what be said moderators? you have the data

Romney has a substantial lead among independants, a complete reversal from 4 years ago; thus the only way an overall poll can have obama in the lead would be due to significant oversampling of democrats ........as just about everyone knows.

Looking forward to the long faces on MSDNC Nov 6th.

HitsRus;1283786 wrote:Can't you read? I said it was accurate that 47% were going to vote democratic no matter what, and it's true that Romney's message needs to be focused on getting out the people who would support him and to swaying the independents/undecided vote his direction.

How long did you spend "parsing out" that his off the cuff remarks made to a group of supporters were not accurate?....and wait! you foubnd that a lot of people on the dole were likely to support Romney?
Gee whiz....maybe they want a job, not a handout. I know it's hard to run on BHO's record.
d00d, this what you wrote;
That 47% is a combination of those completely dependent on the government dole, their enablers, and those who indirectly make their good living off big government, or those who have a vested interest in keeping large segment of voting blocks dependent on them.
You conflated the 47% of people who will support Obama with the 47% who do not pay taxes.

You've mentioned this theme persistently over the years that this is who votes democrat. In reality, a large part of the 47% who is "dependent" (nonsense) on the gubmint necessarily it is argued because they don't pay federal income taxes are old folks and white men who work. Both those groups vote Republican.

Your assertions are demonstrably false and that's why Romney is taking so much heat over it. Right wing, self-righteous l00nz (many of whom themselves are in the 47%) are supposed to parrot this stuff. Not the man running for president.

Here's an idea; you're gonna have 4 more years of Obama barring a spectacular fail by him tomorrow. I invite you to join the democratic party and get on board with a full employment program that gets everyone, whether they're just a groveling dependent democrat or a heroic down on his luck republican off their ass and in the dignity of work.

Sadly, after he's defeated Obama won't go away. He won't have a life directly in politics, but he'll be on tv plenty. Secretly he'll be grateful to be out of the job and just go live the life of a pseudo-celebrity he so obviously craves.

Quaker....since you're so sure Gov.Romney is going to win...lets make a wager

If President Obama wins....for one year your icon is a picture of President Obama and your signature says "I love President Obama"

You name the stake for me if Gov. Romney Wins

You pay my family's share of the debt burden obama has saddled us with in his one term ..... say about $100,000; I'll provide the wire transfer instructions later. Thanks.

Eh, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's too steep. Perhaps a similar wager as was extended would be more appropriate.
