Bingo, that is the correct answer. I guess most of us are conditioned top think how does the defender hit him without being called, assuming a collision is inevitable! I didn't even consider the correct answer that the pass was already dropped, and there was time to lay off and not even hit him. They are trying to train the DBs to lay off - no intimidation allowed by hitting when the results of the play are already decided, only for tackling and jostling the ball loose.
