It is time for the Democrat Party to have their convention.

I am expecting 3 day of non-stop talk of gays, the (imaginery) war on women, class warfare, a parade of every worker who ever lost their job at the hands of Bain capital and all the other fun stuff that comes along with a Democrat convention.

It is in a stadium again, so BHO will certainly be pulling out the Greek Pillars again as a shrine to himself.

Elizabeth Warren is the keynote speaker I think, so there will undoubtedly be talk of wealth confiscation.

In other news Willard will be releasing his 2011 tax return most likely on the morning after the President's acceptance speech in the hopes it goes un-noticed (purely my speculation).

Should be an interesting week.

I'm not saying I remotely disagree with you, but it will still be pretty disappointing.

I have to imagine that it's still tough for many there to muster the enthusiasm and optimism over 4 more years. That's why it's divide and conquer, because hate can still fire up people when results won't.

Safe bet that the fact checkers will have to bring in more temps and pay more overtime. So, hey, maybe the Dems can stimulate the economy after all.

Well the Dems certainly can't run on Barry's record. So - yeah - get ready for the tried and true tactics of class warfare, race baiting, etc.

And naturally the MSM will gladly display and enhance it in all of the false splendor.

It'll be a circus, but I'm looking forward to watching the show nonetheless. I can use a few good laughs.

Good catch on the race baiting, I totally forgot about that as a staple of that event.

My guess is that the day after the convention all talk will be about Obama's acceptance speech and not about some aging actor/director and his empty chair. The D's have a chance to learn from the glorious f***-up which occured last week. I have an idea that the person who introduces Obama will not wait so long into his/her speech to mention his name.

The fools at the RNC really blew it on Thursday night. Had they entered prime time with those heartfelt testimonials about Romney and then had Rubio talk up Romney, all the talk on Friday would have been about Mitt.

I also suspect that Obama will mention our military and their sacrifices for us around the world, something Mitt seems to have overlooked.

Actually it will probably be about Willard's tax return (which I think he will release that day), or how BHO was forced to move back his speech time to accommodate the NFL kick-off (Conservative pundits will likely run wild with that).

9 hours after the next round of world class teleprompter-reading, we'll see the August report on the Obamanomics jobs plan. Seeing as how weekly claims for August were in the 360,000 to 380,000 range, the report will essentially be unchanged from July. Whatever joy is felt about Mr. Empty Chair's speechmaking prowess will be doused by reality.

Will anyone care?

Somebody let crazy Uncle Joe out of the attic today. He was trying out a string of new campaign slogans in his speech in Green Bay.
Ladies and gentleman, it’s just that simple: We are for Medicare; they are for Vouchercare.
“Folks, this is not your father’s Republican Party,” Biden said. “No, for real. This is a different breed of cat. This is not even Mitt Romney’s father’s Republican Party.”

Ehh, like the RNC, I won't watch or read much on it. I'll probably check out the President's speech.
Given that it is a giant pep rally, I doubt it will matter much whatever stupid, over the top thing that is said.

OFA (Obama for America) has promised they are going to have that stadium filled the final night. I am interested to see if they can make it happen or not. 70,000+ is alot of people considering there is not nearly the excitement there was in 2008 when they filled up Invesco in Denver for his convention speech.

It's a small thing, but the optics of a bunch of empty seats is the kind of things that will make him look bad and has the potential to be magnified when you choose that type of venue over the traditional arena.

Interesting choice of porn stars there. Jenna actually endorsed Mitt a while back.

Democrats are poised to avoid the danger of President Barack Obama accepting his party’s nomination before a partially-empty stadium by shifting his speech to an indoor arena and citing ‘severe weather’.
The Obama campaign have been working desperately to ensure that the 74,000-seater Bank of America stadium in Charlotte would be filled.

Buses for students from across North Carolina and even members of black churches in neighboring South Carolina have been arranged.

We'll have to see Julian speak, but interesting sidebar that if Obama wins, we could be choosing between two latinos in 2016.
