I agree 100%. If Campbell wins, it'll go a long way towards them making the playoffs. If Struthers wins, they still have a long uphill battle ahead of them.Spread All Day;1248655 wrote:Maybe if CMHS gets the win they'll be playoff bound.... But if Struthers wins they have a long road with much better teams on it.

Niles scored once on a blown coverage pass play. Dude was wiiiide open and probably would have never seen the field again if he dropped it lol.
Very vanilla offense again but were still able to move the ball relatively easily most of the time. Defense forced some turnovers and had pressure on their QB the whole time, even forcing a safety.
Special teams will be our Achilles Heel, you'll really see how special Sudacov was for us.
Final in points was 15-7 Devils for a one half Scrimmage.

wow very very impressed. place kicking might be a problem, but absolutely handled a bigger Niles team. i was not expecting that.

After Gathering what my brother said. He was surprisingly caught off guard. He was always pointing out the size differences as soup said of niles. He said there is some problems on both sides but that is why you have scrimmages. He said the one play that went for 7 for niles was massive blown coverage play as scoreboard said also. but he said this team if stayed healthy and plays with all there potential is a good team. And he pointed out the plays were just plain Jane plays. Should be a good battle this Thursday. Not going to pick anyone its Campbell and Struthers. Anything goes there. GO Campbell<-------- Screw that Goooooooooooooooo DEVILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

soup, with all of that depth at the skilled positions we might see them going for 2 if the place kicking doesn't improve. If we had a soccer team a Greek kid could be recruited to kick for us on game nights.soupcitysoldier;1249005 wrote:wow very very impressed. place kicking might be a problem, but absolutely handled a bigger Niles team. i was not expecting that.

Does Campbell have Girls Soccer? Just saying... it works for some teams.BigDean1;1249184 wrote:soup, with all of that depth at the skilled positions we might see them going for 2 if the place kicking doesn't improve. We tried to convert one of our Girls Soccer stars into a kicker, a couple years ago. Things just didn't work out.

No soccer of any kind at Campbell Memorial, which is a shame because the city has a large population of Europeans. I believe there is a league within the city for the youth. But nothing at the high school level for years now.BTrev;1249209 wrote:Does Campbell have Girls Soccer? Just saying... it works for some teams.

Kicking is going to very important in those close games. Its gonna hurt unless someone comes out of woodwork. Sad that a season could hang on the balance of a 2 point conversion. I remember that coming back to haunt Campbell once before many years ago.

I don't put anything into scrimmages. Struthers or Campbell, scrimmages arn't about winning they are about working kinks out and getting the basics of your particular offense or defense rather then trying to go after weaknesses of other teams offensively and defensively, sure kids want to come out on top but they arn't much of a big deal to me, not as well as campbell played against a tough niles team or how struthers played against kent roosevelt who is also really good. This Struthers team should be confident going into the game because of what happened last year and what they return and Campbell should be really fired up for what occured last season, and for some kids who want to show they can step up and fill the playmaking roles that needed filled.

This is Girards record since 2004 season!
I don't see consistency in the last 5 years. Unless you concider 2 playoffs in 5 years. a 6-4 to start there turn around and then factore in another 6-4 season. ill give you 08 cause everyone knows they would have made a lot of noise in the playoffs its either they are up or down. And i don't see them getting more then 5 wins this year. this is the most damage i seen Girard take from a graduating class. they will have a big hill to climb to get above 500 in 2012. And no! Campbell is still not consistent. they blew a opportunity last year after beating a very strong Girard team. That 99% of the area predicted Campbell to not win. But to get blown out! And ill tell you that i was one of them. i didn't think blow out but i thought we just didn't have leadership to even compete with girard.

WR - Tommy Kimbrough or Marcus Donnadio and Tameko Holmes
TE - Cameron Suchora
LT- Danny Pape
LG - Mike Pape
C - Dan Dudley
RG - Donald Clyde
RT - Curtis Wagner
Defense:
Starting defense:
Bandit - Steve Seiffert/Tameko Holmes
3 technique - Tommy Baron
NT - Jay King/Tyler Arranz
5 technique - Cameron Suchora/Danny Pape
ILB - Braxton Koup and David Stewart or Nick Polifrone
SAM - Anthony Lariccia
CB - Chris Wess and Frankie Serrano

Pencil in Fandozzi at a backer spot and TE/WR will play but not start since he hasnt been playing much coming back from injury

I see you double checked with someone.
Vinny being out of the starting lineup doesn't surprise me. Hopefully he can get back to 100%, and stay healthy.
I like those lineups... but I especially like that there's only 3 guys starting on both sides of the ball.
