When we get 6+ innings of 2 or less runs, we are pretty much unbeatable in a series. If we get home field advantage throughout the entire playoffs, man...

But we'll collapse any minute now

We've played some shitty ass teams lately. I'm still not convinced we can beat the other top teams in a playoff series.

Im not saying we can't beat random good teams in a series during the season. Just I don't trust our pitchers and lineup when it counts yet.

I have a feeling that the Reds are going to get a guy like Pierre, Span or Victorino at the deadline...they've been saying that they're looking for a leadoff guy and a left-handed bat...so I wouldnt be surprised if they got one of those guys. Victorino is having a down year, but he's been a big part of the Phillies playoff/WS runs and he could possibly help at least when/if the Reds make the playoffs. Any other names you guys have heard that the Reds are interested in/looking at?

At first I kinda thought it was just noise and that the Reds wouldnt make a move, but it sounds like Jocketty really wants to...and I wasnt real sold on going after those guys to be honest, victorino really isnt all that great of an upgrade and Pierre is actually Dusty's kinda player...fast, left handed and little pop.
