It was some pretty entertaining stuff.

edit: I think it wasn't' "a-hole", but rather......."d-i-c-k".
Only on the poli boards..and rarely. I maybe went at it with him on a tribe thread, don't remember. Now hoops...and others, that's another story.

Well, it was funny and I remember trying to keep both of you grounded.

But, anyhow, good win tonight!

CS....for die hard tribe fans...I would vote you number 1. That's not a bad thing either.

Well, could be. But us old fossils need to stick together. Sadly, when we speak of "window of opportunity" to win a title..it takes on a whole new meaning...so to speak.

Sorry Laley....the pussification of relief pitchers can be broken overnight. The anal, micro-managing style is toxic poison..and not needed. I pitched in high school....and coach worked my ass off. Little leaguers in Pony League get 4 times the number of innings that the major leaguers get. Seriously, you don't think Goose Gossage brought it at 100 MPH in the 7th....8th....and 9th? Well he did.

I guarantee you that the tribe would be 3 up...not 3 down...if Acta used his pen the way Billy Martin or Earl Weaver did. And if I was manager, our magic number would be around 15 by now!!

and there is a reason they get a jersey with their name on the back and you dont.

after became a dedicated relief pitcher/closer in 1977, he only averaged 47 games per year during his career and only 1.5 innings per game.

so explain how he brought it in the 7th...8th..and 9th?

What manager in today's game manages similar to Martin or Weaver. I've been trying to think about that a little bit.

Typical stupid Tribe...Santana on 2nd, Lopez on 1st with one out and Marson hitting....Santana caught stealing 3rd, Price wild pitches Lopez to 3rd, Marson walks (bases would've been loaded with one out) and Cunningham ends the inning....1-0 TB bottom of 5

I have no doubt it was a hit and run. Marson waved at an outside FB. Thats on Acta, also on Acta for not sacrificing Duncan with a strikeout pitcher on the mound. Everyone knew a K was coming.

Agree. Only way is if Price is taken out. Maddon doesnt usually let him go much past 100, and I think he is right there already.

Well, now its 5-0. And I looked Price has another inning in him at 94 pitches. So we gotta get at least 5 in the 8th. Cause we wont score many, if any off Rodney. Dude has been lights out this season.
