I was stuck at McCarren International Sunday night and missed Breaking Bad. A few more runs and this might be the opportune time...

I turned off the TV after Brantley was left stranded.....just disgusted.:( I don't understand how Hafner can't learn to hit to left. These guys are supposed to be professional hitters. It's not like 'the shift' should surprise them or that they don't have time to try to learn to beat it. There was NOBODY defending between 2nd and 3rd....all you needed was a ground ball anywhere left of second base and you have a base hit and an RBI. It was this time last year that Jon Nunnally lost his job....might be time to consider removing his replacement.

I hate the feeling I get when I watch this mess--these guys look like a bunch of buffoons out there, with Santana leading the way :o

Turned the game on in time to see Kotchman get HBP and Hanahan deliver a two run double.

It was set up to be another fail.

Santana walked to lead off. Then: K, FO, and Kotchman was down 0-2 and got drilled in the back. Hannahan again starts the 2 out rally.

In the absence of Footwedge, I will say that I'm glad that Smith's "crotch" healed. :D

Lol. Its not even the relievers fault any more. Its the way their arms are trained from HS on up. You cant just change it now. Its really no one in particulars fault. Its just the way baseball is played nowadays.

That is right on, IMO. I have been thinking since Footwedge made his thread and I came to same conclusion as you. That's how it is taught now and has been taught for a long time.

I guess what I would like to see is a manager/front office look to change that thinking.

I know.......it will never happen.

Congrats to our brainy Tribe brethren! :-)

Also: call out to Hoops...... Check in on here!
I didn't see this....but my buddy Believer must have been drinking heavily that day. He and I don't see eye to eye very often. As for Hits....we agree on........baseball.

You would have to change it throughout the whole organization. And really only start it with the pitchers you take out of HS. It can be done. But you cant wait till the major leagues. Their arms and muscles etc are all trained. Trying to throw too many pitches in a night or consecutive days will result in injury real quick.

I'll never forget the time when you and he were calling each other a-holes and such! I was actually taken aback a little bit on that!

I don't ever remember calling anybody here an A-hole let alone Wedge. Maybe way back on JJ...NCF or that lawyer guy who thought he knew everything(can't remember his name).
(edit...now I remember...shellbucks)

Accardo sure can make things interesting:p

It was you and Footwedge. He will confirm.

It was some pretty entertaining stuff.

edit: I think it wasn't' "a-hole", but rather......."d-i-c-k".
